life jacket rule of thumb is 1 pfd for every 3 passengers. Just an FYI in case water fuzz pulls up.

And there are no DWIs for boats. Get drunk - no worries.

Make sure to pull the plugs before launch. It will drain all the spilled drinks and water that splashes in.

Hire a captain to go with it. It would be much more fun for you to enjoy the party with everyone. Especially if you've never driven a boat before. Handling it with a bachelor party will be stressful.
Great advice

Dont liten to all these Safty Sallys, its only a party barge so throw that throttle down, trim the motor up bc rooster tails are badass, add an american flag, and everyone must be topless and sun burnt (including the ladies)

Have fun out there because remember, your friend may get married 3 times in his life, but he may only have one bachelor party

Rented a 24ft party barge for my friend's bachelor party next weekend on a lake here in GA.

I hope you are not on Lanier. If so, anchor about 100 yards from the marina you rented and dont move all weekend, please...

Any tips for good boating and how to not be annoying/an a-hole on the water to other boaters?

Depends on the lake really, each have different standards

I would take this to the outdoor board. You will not get a lot of responses, but they will be legitimate.

You should seriously look into a boaters safety course if you have no experience boating.

And that's why there are so many accidents when there is a lot of traffic on the water. A bunch of dumbasses who decided to rent a boat and getting out on the water for the first time, when there are a lot of other people out there as well..

Hook the kill switch on your person

ALWAYS turn the engine off when there are people swimming around the boat

Matter of fact, just take the key out of the ignition when people are in the water swimming
