Don't force your head in to hard or shake it too violently from side to side. Only enough to feel them smack your cheeks as you make the motorboat sound and smile with glee!

The bigger boat always has the right away.
Keep your phone in a waterproof floating bag.
Don’t let anyone sit at the front of the boat, outside the railing if the motor is on.
If you get too much weight at the front of the party barge, it will dive towards the bottom. Kill the motor immediately if this happens.
Don’t run thru a patch of water hyacinths or Lilly pads. You will likely wrap up the Prop and choke the engine dead. Then be forced to hop in, cut them out and swim push the boat out of the vegetation.
Bring lots of beer, ice, cozies sun screen, snacks and water.
Have a kick arse playlist and make sure you got cords for the stereo if it’s not Bluetooth.
It’s fun to slowly pull 8-15 people wearing lifejackets on ski ropes behind the boat as they drink beer. They just hang on and drink while staying cool.

Remember that the boat has no brakes and glides to a stop. When docking a pro takes it slow. Be safe

The answer is either "NO" or "still in jail."

Before you cast off, make sure you know where the brake pedal is.

I actually spent my formative years as a professional boat driver in Northern Wisconsin. I was a waterski instructor at a summer camp for girls. True story. Just never had a reason to bring that experience to the OT.
At your service for any specific questions.
ETA: Didn't realize OP is likely still in jail from this excursion. Prayers.

I just skimmed this thread and didn't see anyone point out that it is VERY easy to get lost on a lake. If this was his first time driving AND he is unfamiliar with Lake Lanier, he may still be out there trying to find his way back.

Definitely a real threat in that role.
Counselors were college aged though.
