I used 30' strung between upstairs windows on which to hang and display my large American flag on holidays.

Depending on your location, an antenna like that is junk in markets like Baton Rouge. They have 2 VHF digitals (CBS and ABC) that are very difficult to pick up with that type of antenna.

I got rid of a lot of coax leaving it by the curb in a clear bag. It was taken within the day and I guess someone found it handy.

You’ll need it for strangling the Russian mobsters that come to kill the dog that you got with your deceased wife.

This is an excellent question OP. Keep 'em coming.

Are there any off purpose uses for coax cable?

Don’t throw it away. I’ll come get it. I have a use for it.

I can think of two reasons.

1. You continue to add clutter to your closet.
2. With our great economy you can use it as a jump rope when they go to $85 next week.

I’m sure you’ll be fine tossing it. If I throw mine out it will all of a sudden become super valuable.

Anybody that has a real camp in the woods or on the water with no internet or someone who can`t afford cable could definitely use it.

I`ve had to bust mine out for the Super Bowl a few years back because either cable was down or the networks were having a dispute over money. I used it to extend my antenna on to my screen porch to get a better signal.

I understand not wanting the clutter at the same time.

i asked my cable guy this

he said its changed over the years, the old cables arent used any more because they dont give the best signal so throw your old cables out and dont use them
