Does a letter to Penn House mag count?

I had a few articles published when I was in college. I reread them a couple years later and realized what a cocky douche I was. Not much has changed on that front.

Yup. My legal research has been adopted (plagiarized if we’re being honest) by all three U.S. District Courts in LA as well as the Southern District of Mississippi and the U.S. Fifth Circuit. Haven’t been cited by the Supremes yet (at least the last time I checked).

Also wrote a Master’s thesis which is just esoteric enough to get cited periodically by some studious types from the world of academia.

Yes. I have two law review articles, three feature articles and three book credits, although I was not lead author of any of the books. And an endless supply of plagiarized professional work, kind of like FCP ^^^.

Kind of. I write smut ebooks for a living. It pays well (as long as you can pump out content) but it's not what most people think of when they think of a published author.

An article and graph in a stock market publication on the correlation of the interplay of the Mars-Venus planetary cycle with movements in the Dow Jones index. Was well received.

I wrote "1984" in 2nd person. Had an Orwellian / Van Halen flair.

39. Happened across it after medical issues left me unable to go back to work.

It's not easy. I do a book a week. They average 5,000 to 10,000 words. It's a 40 hour a week job. And it pays surprisingly well.

Here's the thing: even a bad book usually brings $40-$60 a month. That doesn't sound like much but that book is on sale for as long as Amazon is still a thing. A good book can bring in $200 a month. A great book can bring over $1k. I currently have 112 books on Amazon. Most fall in the bad category, 15 or so are in the good category and I have 6 in the great category. It's all about quantity. I made less than $75 my first month. Two years, and 100 titles later, I'm doing well. I'll leave it at that.

The problem is that it takes serious time to pump out that content. That makes it hard for most working people to break in. I don't have that problem and spend most of my time writing new books.

Have you ever read Penthouse letters? I'm not writing Hemingway shite. I write cheap smut. And I do it a little bit better than a lot of my competition. Laugh all you want but I make a damn decent living sitting around in my boxer shorts.

I wrote a poem once. Gave it to someone else to use for a assignment. Ended up getting published. I received no credit. I really don’t give a shite though.

Easily more than 1,000 times since the mid 1980s. Probably several thousand, never counted them all. Mostly sports. Next article in less than two weeks, but only write about a dozen or so a year now.
