Law Review article. Cited by a few court decisions too. All downhill from there.

I wrote this a couple of years ago, but you are welcome to it. I'd just like to someday see the movie.
My novel is set in an undisclosed city that is hosting a national championship college football game. An unidentified person in purple jacket and white cap is leaving a hotel room with their belongings. From the hallway, you hear chants of "Go Tigers!" and "Tiger Bait!" A maid meets them at the door and enters to begin cleaning. On the nightstand is a three-ring binder. She picks it up and hurries to the door. "Seenyoor! Seenyoor! Your book! You forgot your your secret play boo...." (Zot! Zot! Zot!) The maid falls to the floor lifeless while the guest continues down the hall, not hearing her.
A short figure, in a crimson hoodie, pockets their silenced pistol and ducks into a stairwell. "One maid - processed," they think.

Yes. Numerous magazine articles and professional journal articles on tactical medicine, firearms and related subjects. I have also had my photography featured in national newsstand magazines (including a couple of covers), internet sites, television (CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS) and numerous professional venues (trade shows and what not). I was also on the masthead of a national newsstand publication as the Medical Editor.

had a couple of technical whitepapers published about 10 years ago. I just did a search for it and saw it has been compiled (along with dozens of other papers) in a hardback book that is for sale by Wiley for just under $100.

I have self-published one book of poetry and had three others published by small publishers. Two more of my poetry books will be published by small publishers this summer.
I never made any money with any of them. All promotion and sales are left up to you, unless you want to pay thousands for promotions which may or may not sell your book. I am not good at promotion and sales.
Self-publishing is no longer looked down on. I recommend that rather than trying to find a publisher, you self-publish and promote and sell your book yourself. This is how John Grisham got started, selling books out of the trunk of his car.
Lulu is the company I recommend for self-publishing. Should cost about $400-$500 for 25 to 50 initial copies. Additional copies will cost about $7-$8 apiece, so if you sell for $12, you will make a $4-$5 profit per book once you recoup your initial investment.
Good luck and good writing.

I've used both Lulu and Createspace. My last novel I published on both - Createspace for the paperback and the kindle version, and then Lulu for a hard-cover edition which I gave to several libraries. Createspace costs nothing and you can buy copies of your book for about $5.00 while they sell (if you actually sell any!) for about $15.00 on Amazon.

Wrote for my local newspaper when I was in high school. Did a movie review and art review for them.
Wrote an article for a now defunct Louisiana hunting magazine a few years ago.
And I currently have a scientific paper in the process of being published.
I would love to write a book one day, but those take time and time I do not have.
