I have to use the light on my phone to read the menu in there.
Have any of you guys been back lately? There's a fairly new bar & grill downtown called Champs. Grilled catfish and veggies there were really good.

Rabbs - Drive through liquor, they leave the tip of the straw on the mixed drink so it's not an open container

LOL, I was in both Neilson (7th floor train track side) and Caruthers (6th floor corner train side) back 82-84, then my GF's mother moved a trailer from Haughton.
Violent thunderstorms we'd go up to the President's floor atop Wiley Tower to see the lighting arcing at eye level over the flat forests as far as the horizon (treetops like a roughly level cut yard from that high up).

Old enough that when I was there:
-movie theater in basement of the post office
-steakhouse in student center
-seafood house above post office
-NLU student planted a pipe bomb in outdoor sign next to Howard
-guy in my QA class jumped off roof of Nelson
-Stows and Kelly's
-Techsters beating the hell out of Maryland in Memorial Gym. Best bb game experience
-And Joe fricking Ivory wiping his forehead with his damn socks before free throws

Ditto that...it’s a great little college town now. I was there ‘96-‘00 & had some fun times at Ponchatoula’s, Sundown, Rabbs, Stoh’s, Norton’s Tavern & Dawghouse was a block away from my apartment. Never really liked the Q-nasty! Most of my friends had mountain bikes so I really miss hitting the trails @ Lincoln Parish Park. Didn’t realize how good we had it...that place is one of top trails of the South.
I pass through the RSN on a routine basis for of course football/baseball and I’m amazed at the growth. Downtown looks great, nice sushi joint, multiple legit coffee shops around town including Railway & finally a great little brewery that serves wood fired pizzas. I can’t believe student housing apartments actually overlooks the freaking outfield of baseball field!!!! Also the rock island greenway Trail is gonna be really nice once complete. I’m truly jealous of the students.
