IMO her comedy is average--it is amusing but not hilarious. She has stolen jokes and I haven't been impressed with her personality from what I've read in the news the last 6-12 months.

True, but not all celebrities are famous because they are gregarious. Many of them can't handle the spotlight and really struggle with the constant attention. I suspect that it gets old to not be able to go out in public and do normal things.
Celebrities make their money off of ticket sales, endorsements, and paid appearances. They don't owe you, an individual, anything when they are out in public. That's like asking an attorney for pro bono legal advice because they received free public education and scholarships that you helped support with your tax dollars.

interestingly... i was doing work with a school district yesterday and they said (this really famous last name of a starting NFL QB that went to this school) called and is having problems with their internet. apparently the guy's parents are still working for the school.
lead to a conversation about him in public. they said that he has not shown his face in their small town of about 6000 people since he made the pros. right after he got drafted, it got to where he could not go a single place without getting bugged for pictures. so now he won't go back, just flies his parents to his city now.

I feel like that is even worse than someone walking around a city and being bugged by strangers. You would think that being from such a small area, that would be the ONE place he could go back to and be treated normally.

Agreed. I think people get wrapped up in their acting too much.

I've never understood it either. Even if I saw my favorite actor/musician, I'm just not the type to bother someone for that kind of thing. It has too much of a "I'm a mere peon" vibe for me. I might truly be lesser than the celebrity in question, but I don't want to advertise it.

Agree. One thing that's always stuck out to me is her mouth. It's like it's too small for her face.
