It’s like a 35-40% chance of death, right? I don’t think we will have to wonder if it’s manufactured for very long if shite pops off

The first case of human to human transmission that occurs off the cruise ship, and I’m going to start stocking up on canned goods. Start with amounts you will use normally before expiring so as to not waste money if nothing happens.
For example: Eat spaghetti 1x per month. Sauce you like expires in 18 months. You can safely buy 18 of those.

Two Americans. Only 38 to go to reach our annual amount of cases.

You don’t understand all the facts. This is the Andes strain which can transmit human to human. The ones in the USA you’re talking about is rodent to human only.

This is so fricking dumb. Literally *every year* there is a hantavirus "outbreak". It has been known for 7+ decades.
It is not airborne, and it can't turn into a pandemic because it is too deadly.

Oh and there is no cure. They can only treat the symptoms.

Although uncommon, limited human-to-human transmission of HPS due to Andes virus has been reported in community settings involving close and prolonged contact. Secondary infections among healthcare workers have been previously documented in healthcare facilities, though remain rare.

A virus with a 30-50% fatality rate cannot spread like Coronavirus
