Americans are freaking fat, man. It’s sad

Our society is screwed. I’m 5 feet 9 inches and a half, 183 lbs and I fit into a size small slim fit at Polo.
How am I a size small?
What are the clothing designers and doing to us?
It’s just normal to be fat or obese now.
Guaranteed 20 to 30 years ago this would have been a size medium or large.
Wild.
I’ll have to shop in the women’s section shortly to find things that fit. I had AI do some research and I’m leaner than 95% of men my age. Men we must do better. I still have a small belly if this is all it takes to beat almost every man in North America this is really sad.

While that kind of size inflation is annoying, it ain’t got shite on waist “measurement” inflation. You’d think pants sized in inches could be purchased without ever trying them on. Yet somehow, pants at a given waist “measurement” fluctuate 4+ inches between brands. It’s fricking insane.

Everything is made in foreign countries.
Academy had some shirts, each color was made in a different country.
You could lay them on top of each other and each one that was supposed to be a large was a different size based on where they were made.

Yes, sizes have crept up- back when I wasn’t fat I noticed it because women’s s/xs were too big for me. I shopped in children’s clothes for most stuff.
