anyone watched this? My basic take away is after watching I could easily see how Chris was driven insane by Shannann and her constant whining, always on Facebook, documenting every second of everything, the multilevel marketing stuff. The constant whining text messages.

This is on Netflix right? I saw there was something new named American Murder, but didn't look to see what it was about. Is this the case in which the husband killed his pregnant wife and put her in a drum or something?

If so I remember the story and he was a weak minded bitch. If he wasn't happy he should have left.. Be a dad to his children. Instead he tried to get rid of his "problems" by killing them. frick him

I saw the body Cam footage when it came out. That guy was as good as caught the second the wife’s friend showed up. I think he’d have taken some time later that day to ditch her car and some luggage if he had time.

The look on that man’s face when he saw the neighbor’s camera footage was pretty chilling. It was clearly the heat of passion; a bigger monster would have planned it out better and would have never confessed.

If your spouse is missing, you are a suspect and every inch of your life will be investigated. This guy didn’t stand up to even cursory scrutiny. He underestimated the cops, and he definitely didn’t count on the wife’s friend checking up on her by lunch time the day off.

Absolutely. Seemed to me that it couldn't have been planned - or at least not very well. I think he got into a fight with his batshit crazy wife, lost his shite and killed her - and then panicked. It was a complete shitshow.

I would disagree to that.

Her social media footprint was much more broad than most. She had a small following and was considered an influencer for whatever products she’s peddling.

That family’s whole life was on social media. They overshared compared to most that I know.

This thread is a bad look, and if you have a significant other I hope she (he?) sees this to know how much potential danger they're in.

Obviously he went criminally insane and committed heinous murders, all I'm saying is that there's a lot more out there on her the documentary didn't touch which was bad enough.

She had already bankrupted the family once and was headed there again.

The blowup over the cookie with Chris's mom and the subsequent 800 word text message.

The 24/7 facebook feed and constant begging for attention from him and social media.

She displayed a clear case of histrionic personality disorder.

I don't think she is any different than any other married woman out there when it comes to the social media stuff. I can honestly say that has started little arguments between me and my wife. There are times that I'd just like to experience something without having to stop and take a picture and/or shoot a video. Pisses her off so much. It's really ok to do something without needing video evidence that you did it.
My wife is nothing like this. I couldn't tell you the last time she created a facebook status update or an IG post. Sure she likes pictures, but she doesn't post them for other people to see. I couldn't be married to one of these women who post their entire lives on social media, I also wouldn't kill someone just because they did that though

my wife and i watched it Friday night. No excuses for what he did. Even my wife commented how much she put her life on social media. I do think the indecent with the grandparent and a cookie with a food allergy was taken way too far; was it an honest mistake? But i did have two points/questions.

At the beginning she said she worked her tail off and built he first house at 25 alone, what in the hell was she doing, or was it a first time homeowner's special?

The girlfriend to me looked a lot lot his wife. but the police department kept on referring to her as his hot new girlfriend. I guess she was not as crazy as the wife?

You're catching a lot of shite in this thread for the verbiage you've used to describe the murders, but nothing you said in this particular post is false. She was a fricking lunatic.

That doesn't mean she deserved to die, and the children certainly didn't.

However, if you give me a lineup of 100 women with a brief personality and lifestyle description - and asked me which one is most likely to be murdered by her husband, she'd have been the one I would have guessed.

I don’t even think she was that crazy. I think she was just really different than him and they never really seemed to fit together. He probably regretted marrying her early on and resented her more each day but he let that bottle up. I don’t even think he killed them for his side piece. I think he just wanted her gone and never even considered his actions. I’m sure he regrets killing his kids now though.

The fact that his family hated her and didn’t attend their wedding days his family is a little crazy too. Sounds like the cookie arguments was about a lot more than a cookie anyway. She had issues but it sounds like they both needed therapy for years.

Hope he gets anal raped daily in prison while the guards mock him screaming Daddy No.

According to Wikipedia, Chris is housed at the same prison as Steven Avery of Making a Murder fame.

Agreed, that was not normal posting and if someone else's spouse is posting like that, they need to begin planning an intervention.

To that degree? Yes. And again, if you've convinced yourself that it is, that's a problem too.

To what degree exactly? It appeared to me as though she liked to post videos. Just as every other woman out there who uses Facebook does. If y'all think for one second that a lot of married women out there don't do that, then you're living under a rock.

Not that I agree with that as I clearly stated in my OP. I'm not saying I think it's normal in the sense that I'm on board with doing that. I'm saying it's normal in that most married women out there engage in that behavior.

What kind of vidoes did she post?? Like of herself? I post vids of my kids for family to see and that is what most of my FB mom friends doo. I don't think I have ever seen any of my FB friends posting vids of just them.
