Yes, that's all she was doing.

Absolutely. Seemed to me that it couldn't have been planned - or at least not very well. I think he got into a fight with his batshit crazy wife, lost his shite and killed her - and then panicked. It was a complete shitshow.

He drove for an hour with his little girls in the truck before killing them with his bare hands. He had plenty of time to think about what he was doing.

What exactly was she doing that was more than just annoying social media user? I couldn't be married to a woman like her because that would annoy the shite out of me. But to say she was bat shite crazy is a bit of a stretch. Maybe annoying and just a bit off, then yeah.

ETA: but again (to a lot of people's point): the way she was to him was NO justification to kill her and his two daughters in an attempt to hit the reset button on his life.

According to Wikipedia, Chris is housed at the same prison as Steven Avery of Making a Murder fame.

Looks like Ed Gein, the inspiration for Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Silence of the Lambs, was also incarcerated there.

She was very controlling. The whole incident with his parents and the cookie was extreme. She constantly belittled him, even publicly. Saying that she had issues is being kind.

Her behavior was erratic in that one situation. But again, most wives have problems with their inlaws. That's a very, very common issue. I'm gonna need a little more than that to call her "crazy". If that qualifies her for being crazy, then it's safe to say that most married women out there are crazy, no?

I didn't find that she started doing this until he started ignoring his family and cheating on her. I could see both sides on that one. But he still had the obligation to call a timeout and have the dreaded "talk" with her.

even publicly.
By publicly, you mean going to her friend to bitch about him? We are all guilty of doing that. You have to have somebody to vent to. What better than a personal friend?

Again, I find all the "look at me/us" videos annoying. And I found that she was a bit on the bossy side. And she completely mishandled the situation with the inlaws. I suspect she said or did something similar before that (which is why they didn't show up to the wedding). That was a frick up on their part too. Both sides were not without fault. But all of that could have been rectified if both parties decided to talk it all out and be adults.

My point is, nothing that she did would even remotely be justification for the way this psycho snapped. And the kicker is not just her, but his two little girls and baby boy inside of her.

I'm just not getting the "she was crazy" angle on this. Annoying, yes. Crazy, no. Again, I couldn't personally have been married to a woman like that. I have some friends who have wives who are EXACTLY like that though. Many of my friends.

And 800 word text over a cookie is more than "a little annoying"

The "omg he didn't grab my butt when we met at the airport my life is over" is more than a little annoying.

This isn't even scratching the surface

Consider the entire situation and history with her inlaws.

quote:

The "omg he didn't grab my butt when we met at the airport my life is over" is more than a little annoying.
She was venting to her friend via text and by that point, he had already started ignoring her and being distant as hell with her. He was probably already banging average looking hippy girl on the side by that point.

And by the way, newsflash for some of you inexperienced fellows when it comes to pregnant women. Their hormones are ALL out of whack and this can cause extremely irrational behavior at times. So there's that too.

But none of that tells me that 1. she was just as crazy as him, and 2. he was justified in killing her and the babies.

She's not without blame if there was a divorce. Normal people just don't kill their entire families.

Watching this just makes me want to go hug and kiss my kids and never let them out of my sight.

I dont care how annoying or controlling she was. Women are like that. Leave her. Give up your rights to the kids so you wont have to worry about that and go be with your side piece.

To actually load those babies in the truck, drive them an hour away, THEN smother them...what in the actual frick? He had time to think about that part...did he honestly think he it was just going to all go away and no one would notice?

I guess that last part is what really gets under my skin. To do that to your own flesh and blood brings me to full-sized man tears.

Yeah I mean, most people would have divorced her. Maybe tried therapy. I think killing her and the two kids may have been a step too far though.

I don't know how any man could murder his little girls. Crazy wife or not. Dude was obviously a psycho.

You do you, man. An argument or two with in-laws is one thing. Accusing them of putting your children in mortal danger (impliedly intentionally). Disinviting them from their grandchild's birthday party, etc., qualifies as crazy in my book.

Seemed like she did it constantly.

I can't even bring myself to spanking my kids much less smothering and killing them.

And killing his wife? I don't give a shite how annoying/insufferable/crazy she was...
