The flight attendant could of simply stated check the stroller or your off the plane and this would of never turned into a thing. The lady was flat wrong and then the flight attendant made it much worse.
The video picks up near the end of the confrontation (as they always seem to). People wait for shite to hit the fan before they start recording and tweeting.
The flight attendant shouldn't have ripped the stroller out of her arms and looks like a dick, but he was between a rock and a hard place.
She doesn't want to get off and doesn't want to give the stroller up. What do they do? Call security on a mother with a kid a week after United's fiasco??
That's why I put her with the most fault in this instance, though baldy gets some too.

The airline's statement added, “We have seen the video and have already started an investigation to obtain the facts. What we see on this video does not reflect our values or how we care for our customers. We are deeply sorry for the pain we have caused this passenger and her family and to any other customers affected by the incident. We are making sure all of her family's needs are being met while she is in our care.”
Looks like AA learned a lesson from United's CEO's tone deaf post-incident PR statement.

These airlines need to change protocol so items like this, and or overbooked passengers, never even get on the plane. That's what escalates this situation. This stroller should have never made it this far.
The argument could've happened in the airport, and if she refused someone on standby could've been put on the plane. She could've been refunded and left standing there.
Why are they allowing these items on the plane in the first place?

They have a policy. Out of thousands of flights a day and tens of thousands of employees under that policy, sometimes people mess up. Shocking, I know.
I hope yall like these videos, because since everyone jizzed all over the one of a spastic pill pusher getting roughed up, they are going to be everywhere. Pearl clutchers rejoice!

How long have you worked for AA?

Apparently the lady wasn't allowed to bring the stroller on board in the first place as per AA's policy,

Lol, I hate AA. Are you too dumb to see I'm also making fun of the "boycott UAL" idiots too?

I'm guessing he instructed her to remove it per rules, she refused, he attempted to remove it, she retained her grip and he yanked it from her while accidentally hitting her with it in the process. I really doubt he swung the stroller at her and the child.
She'll get a big payout though. I expect this to be more commonplace now.

After watching the video it seems that as a pilot, I would ask the flight attendant to leave the plane and call for a replacement.
Not sure if that is something the pilot can do but taking off on a long flight with a confrontational FA and upset passengers is not a smart move.
Does not really matter who was in the wrong but you already had the FA man handle a woman and then was physically confronted by another male passenger. Chances of additional issues while airborne are fairly high.

This should fall on the gate attendant... stroller should have never made it onto the plane. He/she probably didn't want the hassle of checking it with baggage, which he/she should have offered to do. Lady refuses, she stays in terminal - that simple.
Flying has become a giant pain in the arse & incidents like this are only going to make it worse. I used to enjoy it, but 9/11 changed everything.

People just need to let others fight their own battles. White knighting has no reward and a lot of risk.

Are passengers just headed to the airport looking to brawl?
No, but the 2 hour wait through TSA Security Theater will make anyone ready to throwdown.

I'm pretty sure they last time I flew we had a stroller and they let us keep our son in it until we got to the plane door and we were supposed to leave it there. Maybe they told her to same but she didn't fully understand

I had something far worse than this happen to me this week on a United flight out of NOLA.
I was wearing an LSU hat (not Toonces) and took my seat in first class. The flight attendant said "roll tide" as she handed me my bloody mary.
I've contacted United and requested extra miles.

Bitch seems crazy...she was weeping and wailing throughout the whole thing.....fricking idiot
Attendant should have just told her she was being removed and called security to have her tossed.

As a viewer, I'm thankful the person recording the video did not suffer from "Vertical Video Syndrome."

Still, no reason for the worker to be a dick about it.
Except that she took it on when she's required to check it.
