I am not taking up for the airline steward but one question:
What if he calmly asks for the stroller and she says no. Then he calmly asks her to leave the plane and she says (again) no.
What then?
Call security and they repeat the same two questions.
The final video will still be security "dragging a crying mother with young children down the aisle" and he airline is the wrong party.
They can't win.

When will people learn to follow directions? They should have asked her for the stroller and if she declined then she should have been kicked off the flight. Too many people are looking to play the victim today. As for Billy Badass who "defended her honor" he should have been kicked off the flight as well and banned from flying AA for getting involved in something he had no business in getting involved with. It looked like he just wanted to play the hero when in reality he looked like that douche friend who threatens to kick everybody's arse but never has.

The guy who confronted the flight attendant is a buddy of mine, lived in my town, goes to my church. He had absolutely nothing to gain and has spend the last two days trying to get away from reporters.

That first class passenger should have been thrown off the plane. He was a fricking a-hole. I wish the flight attendant would have knocked him out (I know impossible but still would have been great). frick that crying woman she should have followed the rules in the first place.

I'm thankful I'm retired and no longer have to travel.
What i don't understand is why didn't the gate agent tell her she couldn't take the stroller on board when he/she collected her boarding pass?
Also why did the member of the flight crew stand there and do absolutely nothing to defuse the situation?

A few random The Boat observations from this:
I'm not surprised it was a foreign woman.
That man wanted some poon with an accent pretty badly with the way he sprung up to defend her.
American Airlines to me seems like the most laid back of the legacy carriers with the most casual atmosphere when I've flown them. I don't know if that comes all the way from the top and impacts the personal interaction training of the flight attendants.
As a Delta man I've enjoyed seeing United and American eat it the last couple of weeks.
