I never said will smith got what he deserved.
But I was out on that island with lester in that I wont praise a woman beating alcoholic that just had a hit and run. Will smith was a POS IMO.

5 months later and that seems to be the only action Trump has taken that people can point to.
Should I continue?

I can appreciate the effort it takes to type 3 paragraphs without answering my questions

And if the "experts" stopped flip-flopping.
I wish we could ban this stupid phase.
Anytime we have something new, "novel", etc, the experts are going to learn more about it, as we travel the path.
If new information comes out that is better, more tested, and is more accurate than prior information, reasonable people will accept that and be happy that the new information is more accurate.
For example, I believe one of the reasons the death rate is dropping, is because doctors have learned that the vent is likely causing more harm than good, and is really nothing more than extending life until affairs can get in order. The vent is delaying death, but absolutely guaranteeing it, whereas many people are now staying off the vent, and healing.
But, given today's definitions, that means the "experts" are "flip-flopping" on vents. And people act like that's a bad thing.
We should be smart enough, as a country, to realize that as our knowledge grows, our decisions will sometime change to reflect the new knowledge.

My answer is yes. He didn't do anything to kill more people, so that's a win.

I told myself the same thing about Obama's abysmal economical and foreign relations policies, and Trump made it come true!

I remember when we were tracking this in November in China; and the Chinese were literally barricading roads and locking people inside.
bullshite
Dump trucks loading mounds of dirt and gravel, blocking roads. You can choose to not believe that, but I saw the photos. That's back when some folks were looking on and saying "hey, that doesn't look like a 'new strain of flu' reaction. What the frick is loose over there?"
For what it's worth, the Chinese ramped up the restrictions, and it ultimately didn't matter anyway. I suppose you're always going to have those people who get exposed, and say "frick it, I'm going home", and totally defeat the purpose of a quarantine.
Hell, who'd volunteer to go jump in the incinerator? So I can't blame them.
Those bitching about death rates, or politicians taking advantage of the situation, that's beside the point of this thread.

It’s hard to be sympathetic when two entries actively engage in war & someone ends up dead. Neither party acted gentlemanly

What do you want Trump to do, announce to the country that Covid-19 was an impending menace during a State of the Union address?
My God.

You think America was prepared for this? & do you think he’s handled this well as the leader of this country?
I got no problem with how Trump has handled it. I’m no democrat but if I was I would be holding Cuomo accountable for his catastrophic handling in New York. Democrat run cities and states have suffered the worst. How is that Trumps fault? He went full throttle to provide masks, ventilators, and hospital beds to worst hit areas. It seems no one notices it because God forbid he get any credit. This is a once a century pandemic that is going to run its course no matter what people do. Protect the most vulnerable best as you can and pray for effective vaccines and God’s mercy. Or, keep trying to blame Trump for everything. I guess we know where you stand Les.

America can't deal with a pandemic...
And yet this country has effectively dealt with numerous pandemics in the past two and a half centuries.
The reason we "cannot" deal with this one is that the population is not generally participating in the anti-pandemic efforts. The underlying disease/virus is simply not dangerous enough to mobilize a population who values freedom of movement and relies on modern luxuries as much as we do.

I said this in March. If we want to kill the virus send everyone home for a month and shut down travel to anywhere else. Lock yourselves in. Millions will die of starvation and millions more will go poor and eventually die. But hey, at least the virus is gone, right?

Anyone can be reactive to such obvious obstacles
Zero pro activity on trumps part. In fact it was all initially met by down playing. The complete opposite

I'm guessing you are one of the people who believe that the government should have stockpiles of inapplicable vaccines and antiquated medical equipment in a warehouse somewhere?
I'm also assuming that you would criticize this administration for both maintaining and paying for the storage of totally useless equipment.

Got bad news for you, the populace is tilting towards giving power to an authoritarian for the promise of safety and security and the media is dead set on making them believe its for the best.
But this is a good thing to some people. As long as it's the correct party. As long as the man on the television says it's okay. As long as the top article on their favorite mass media platform says it's okay.
My God. It used to be a mystery how Hitler, Lenin, Stalin and Mao amassed so much power. Turns out, people are just naturally this stupid.

Actually, I can get on board with that if you want to say that any shutdown whatsoever is why we don't have sports now.
Because if we simply let it run its course back in March, we wouldn't be seeing these spikes this late in the summer. Good point.
