here’s a perfect example of the clown world we live in

if we are asked to look for someone on Amber alert, we get this

Yet if public is asked to be on lookout for dangerous armed criminal, we get (example from Siegan/Perkins armed robbery)

quote:

EBRSO described the suspects as wearing dark clothes, masks, and carrying semi-automatic handguns.

Most of them are just stupid child custody disputes. I ignore them. If I ever saw the silver '09 Altima or whatever, I would wave. I'm not helping some stupid lawyer do his job, much less the Yankee thot support nanny state.

I’m in the Florida panhandle and I got an amber alert for Dade county (Miami) at 4:50am today, 12+ hour car drive from me? Come on. How can we at least not send them more locally?

This post is unbelievable.

Turn all that shite off. The sole purpose of the warning bs is to promote fear in the women folk.

Explain how it’s unbelievable to not be woken up by the government alarm at 4:50am? The solution is to turn them ALL off ALL day? I don’t mind them during the day, but I don’t want to be woken up Sat morning. Sorry not sorry

When they light up every highway board in Texas with a plate number, I think “dang, someone’s got to see them”

What if some guy is at a gas station at 5:30am on his way to work and he gets one and sees the child in a car at the pull next to him? Why don’t you just turn them off. Take control of your side rather than trying to force change someone else’s.

Really easy to turn those off. I don't get alerts at all, they're not my concern whatsoever. Look after your kids yourself, show some personal responsibility.

Yikes.

Side question. How many of y’all actually go on the lookout when you see an amber alert?

Same here. Got one on my phone and then the kids iPads went off about 20 minutes later.

Made it real tough waking up at 6:30 for my 7:45 Tee time.

You do know you can turn them off.
Go to Settings > Notifications.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
Under Government Alerts, turn the type of alert on or off.

Their mother left it running with him and a 7-year-old in it while she went inside the women's shelter. An orc drove off in it.
