Two attorneys I know both have Alexa and they are always raving about it but I can hear them asking the damn thing the same questions about a hundred times before it does anything.

Put it in the kitchen, you can ask it measurement coversion questions and set timers. I use it to order things I need or make grocery lists if I don't order it on Amazon. It's extremely useful there.

So the parents ignored the e-mail alert when the order was placed, and the subsequent e-mail when the order was shipped?
I like the Echo. I got one for Christmas, and it made me want to start setting up some home automation. I just have switches so far. Echo is terrible at search though. I may get a Google Home later.

I got one for Christmas and I've enjoyed it. I ask it things like the weather and set an alarm and timer. Also it plays Spotify. I was able to get Bowl game score updates when I wasn't able to watch.
Last night I was looking for a movie to watch on Kodi and I asked it if such and such movie was good and it gave me the ratings and such. Thought that was cool.

Alexa is the shite. If it cant understand you, your voice is unclear and theres a feature where you can train the device to better understand your particular voice.
