True but you can’t back stab them to climb the corporate ladder.

Amazon has received huge tax breaks and other incentives from communities all over the country as they’ve built huge distribution warehouses and hired thousands of workers. In a few years those warehouses will be largely devoid of local workers.
And if they fire everyone the tax breaks stop, I’m sure.

Amazon is already one of the worst employers in the US.
done some walk thru some of amazons distribution centers. They are insanely impressive. Home Depots are pretty cool too. Amazon's work force is pretty hood but not nearly as depressed as the Foxconn faciality i used to cover.
I genuinely believe everyone that works for foxconn is one step away from suicide. They were a customer for 5 years, they had at least 10 different point of contacts because they couldn't keep decent people at operation manager

But... but.. we need to think of the shareholders maximizing their returns!!! Plus Bezos really needs the extra money b/c he wants to fly into space and make his wife the next Bond girl! Who are we to deny that?

In March 2012, Amazon.com acquired Kiva Systems for US$775 million. At the time, this was Amazon's second-largest acquisition in its history.[9]

As of June 2019, Amazon had more than 200,000 robots working in their warehouses.[13] Amazon now (January 2020) has more than 200K robots (they call them "drives") in their warehouses.[14][15] Cathie Wood in 2023 predicted that by 2030 Amazon warehouses will have more robots than people by adding about 1000 per day[16] should have 1M total in 2024 (next year), instead of linear predicted 800K. Newest warehouses already have more robots than people.[17] Amazon Robotics introduced the robotic tech vest in 2019
Amazon been working on this for 22 years and counting

What I wonder is when all these corporations replace people with robots and most people no longer have jobs, who is going to buy their products?

United States will have UBI in the next decade

Automation… AI and Robotics… will kill off a lot of jobs that will never be replaced. They’ll spawn some new jobs, but not nearly enough to make up for what is going away.
Posted on 10/21/25 at 3:24 pm to FredBear
quote:No one can ever answer that question. They cite the whaling industry or horse drawn industry and how it changed with cars and electricity. However, those were all still people, just moving from one industry to the next. This signals no work for people at all.
What I wonder is when all these corporations replace people with robots and most people no longer have jobs, who is going to buy their products?
Will cause a collapse of society.
