Amazon is introducing a new Ring camera for your vehicle.

The small dual-facing device sits on your dashboard which allows drivers to capture the interior and exterior simultaneously.

It will also be able to detect break-ins and has a traffic stop feature that lets drivers record whenever they get pulled over or have an accident.

The Ring Car Cam is available to pre-order now for $199.99, but will increase in price to $249.99 after January 31, according to a listing on Amazon's website. The cameras will formally launch February 15.

"In the same way we help customers protect their homes and communities, we want to help them by extending our security expertise to their cars," said Ring chief technology officer Josh Roth in a statement.

Pretty cool thing except for the fact that everything it sees is sent back and analyzed by a trillion dollar tech company

And it comes with a pinky promise they won’t record video and audio of everything that goes on in your vehicle. Super swear!

Here you post this shite on Cluckster’s website in the middle of NOLA being NOLA.

We now know which came first, and it wasn’t the egg.

I have always wondered how the big car companies have not come up with this already and profited on a subscription service. Now that the USA is turning into a third world country we are going to have to record our driving to protect us.

Plenty of great dash cam options available for much cheaper.

Amazon: We're able to spy on people in their homes and at work, but we're losing all kinds of valuable spying time while they are in their cars. How do we fix this?

Same. They let everyone retrofit these crap $40 dash cams in their cars instead of seamlessly integrating one that you could charge monthly for to store to a cloud or offer ad an upgrade for certain trim levels, etc.

Just throw a washcloth over it when you rub one out in the parking lot on your lunch break.

I don't think it even records while you are driving as an actual dashcam should.

Why people want a company to have access to their life is crazy to me.
