Depends on where you live a lot.

No denying that.
The internet in general has been a problem as well, allowing the freaks that were once isolated to find each other.

They made a movie glorifying shoplifting. Safe to say we’re going downhill.

You’re moving the goalposts because your argument is weak.
Nobody said America was globally dominant in 1776 or that the Depression didn’t happen. The point is that hardship does not disprove greatness. It usually proves it. America took a rough frontier republic and turned it into the most powerful, productive nation on earth in about 250 years. That is greatness by any adult standard.
And yes, WWII accelerated our dominance. Obviously. But war did not magically create our industry, institutions, resources, or capacity. It revealed them. Plenty of nations get opportunities. Great nations are the ones prepared to seize them. America was. That is the whole point.

Been slowly declining since the 60’s IMO
- rise of liberals
- taking God/prayer out of schools
- Hollywood/MSM/FCC allowing almost anything to be shown on TV
- decline of the family
- fast technology = no patience
- “me, me, me” overtakes “we, we we”
- devolving politicians mock the law and Constitution
- increase in 2 tier justice; Tier 1: Powerful / Rich get away with anything - Tier 2: normal, middle/lower class get screwed
I can go on and on

The worst segments of our society began unravelling in the 60s. They’re now so many generations removed from any sense of decency or self-respect that the newer generations are basically humanoid animals. Social media has allowed the scourge to spread beyond traditional boundaries.
Meantime, better segments of society have become very spoiled and hapless. A few generations of lax parenting and participation trophies have created brainless brats who don’t know how to work or do anything productive…many can’t even carry on a basic conversation…but still expect to have the world handed to them.
We’re all boned. Sometimes I think the only answer is to move to Japan or South Korea where society still imposes unapologetically high expectations upon itself.

The algorithm got you. Get off the internet and enjoy life

Then we’ve got young men pissing away their money on sports gambling and prediction markets. We have young women who see their only way to a future as becoming an influencer and/or an online porn star. Most of them aren’t headed toward homeownership or establishing a family.

TBF, the majority of women started this social decline by gobbling down the bait of "you don't need a man to be complete."
Young women telling young men they aren't good enough, or they don't want to be tied down in their 20's and 30's with a family.
Now you have a shite ton of miserable women in their late 30's and 40's, single, desperately wanting children and a "good" man to take care of them.

The problem with avocados is 'timing'. I had four I picked up at Kroger last week. Two days after buying I wanted to make guac. Two were filled with bruises and going bad. Two were not near ripe and hard.
There needs to be a hyperspectral scanner in grocery stores like the big distributors use to check fruits and vegetables for rot, insects, ripeness and disease just for avocados.

The "Long March Through the Institutions" is effective.
Overturning society and western culture is the goal.

Spend some time in Europe, we are a third World Country compared to some of their way of life. Are they perfect no…but…have some good traits

quote:It was that guy's estimate. Being that these people snuck in here illegally, there is no official source for how many are here. Even if there were, how could you trust it? The FJB regime allowed millions of people into this country illegally, sometimes flying them in under the cover of night. Do you think they kept detailed records of their crime? Of course there would be many millions more than they would ever officially report.
Reliable source you got there. A guy who sized up the country’s entire illegal immigrant population from one day in Idaho falls
quote:To each their own. I think we should do mass deportation, end birthright citizenship and most H1Bs, send back anyone who vacations in the country they sought asylum from, and then watch wages rise, rents and the prices of homes fall, crime fall, health care costs fall, more of our young Americans getting accepted to college, getting hired, buying houses, getting married, having kids, etc. In other words, give young men a playing field almost as level as the one that previous generations enjoyed.
In all seriousness, I think blaming one’s shortcomings on a particular group of people is just not productive. If you can’t cut it in the US, that’s your fault. Educate yourself, work hard, make smart financial moves. Blaming others won’t get you anywhere.
Instead of flooding our country with third worlders, most of whom require welfare and are a net negative financially. Others who scam us and take advantage of our generosity. And they get counted in the census, which affects legislative representation and the perceived political makeup of the country.
Also they keep killing people on our roads. Awful videos, ramming into cars with trucks, pancaking poor souls to death. Democrat states have been giving driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.
I think it's one of the biggest reasons for the feeling that the country is collapsing.

the biggest issue is we're getting dumber as a society, life has been too easy for too long.

I've been saying this since oh ....2008.
Can't put my finger on it but something happened around then and everything turned to shite.
