So you are making your girl break plans with her friends after they bought concert tix bc you want to hang out with her on Valentines Day???

Wtf dude? Let her go to concert. Enjoy getting out of a bullshite holiday and instead, blow it up with your friends while you have the opportunity. Since you are moving in together, you won't be having that opportunity much longer.

i think you read it wrong.

The friends are going to the concert. He and his g/f are now going to Mardi Gras. They wont be home but the friends are still coming. They want to house sit

I would let them do it, no problem, as long as she thinks they aren't completely reckless.

Ohh. I read it as she had a tic to go along with her friends and he told her he wants to spend vDay with her and she backed out.

This is a borderline situation, but I say let them. It's not because of them, but it's a good way to test your girlfriend's judgement. I'd just go with it for now, but don't let her get away with it if it somehow fricks up.

Unreasonable? No. I would still get a feel for the girls before I made a final call. If you don't trust your girlfriend's friends to not rob or destroy your place over the course of a couple of days, your girlfriend may think it reflects poorly on your opinion of her. Get to know the friends and make the call. If they smoke, use an abundance of slang, have anything more than a tiny token tattoo or piercings anywhere other than their ears, or otherwise seem like skanks, put your foot down.

I think you're being reasonable, but this might be one of those pick your battles moments.

Would your GF be ok if a few of your buds wanted to crash at y'all's place when y'all weren't home ?

Yes... I would not let two homosexuals stay in my house. They gone frick in your bed and when you get back, you risk getting the aids.

No the catch does not change a thing in my mind. And if it does in yours, then you're at least slightly homophobic.
