Iran Sanctions and lack of excess capacity. Or at least the desire to find extra capacity.

It’ll calm down by early next year once we get more production online. Then crash again when OPEC floods the market in a price floor war. It never ends.

That's a hot take considering most are saying around $100 come early 2019

And everyone also said we'd see $150 a barrel in 2014.

I think we have too much production capacity stateside to ever see $100 again but I'm not an expert.

Also, land rigs have a much lower breakeven point than they did 4 years ago so more wells are operating today and they're making more money now than they did when oil was over $100. The higher oil goes, the more they'll produce. I mostly deal with wells in the DJ, Powder River Basin and Bakken and those guys are heating up, especially in Wyoming.

I'm not a price speculator but I can say that boats are starting to go back to work in Fourchon. Slowly but surely

Oil industry is not really getting busier so the price is going up further I suspect.

Say what? I work for a large engineering firm and we are slammed. We've hired a plethora of people within the past month. I also have friends in the business who are busy as shite.

Gas prices will go up slightly shortly when they start switching to the winter blends up north. Diesel will go up slightly too when the heating oil demand goes up.

Add the increase per barrel and it will suck more!

I just don't see how it can go up too much, isn't there is a glut of supply now?

It dropped pretty big today. US stockpiles rose by a lot and Russia/Saudi agreed to increase output.

So it’s likely not going any higher soon.
