Basically Iran sanctions, continued Venezuelan production problems, West Texas pipeline constraints, and the Saudi comments recently have conspired to signal an impending supply weakness while demand remains consistently strong. Saudi doesn't appear to be able to get much over 11 million barrels a day of production versus previous predictions. With the natural decline of current production and a lag of new projects due to the weak price period from 2014-2017 there is a possible supply crunch coming soon.

2.65/gal too pricey for you? I'm sure the $3 you'd save with it slightly cheaper would go far.

I don't know if this is the case, I am sure there will be people who will think this is absolutely not true at all.. But I did read a while back that the tariffs put on China and the "trade war" could actually have an impact on gas prices.

There is "concern" that the tariffs can have an impact on mardi gras.

It's actually right about where it needs to be, imo. Price at the pump isnt debilitating for most people and oil companies are able to drill and refine and explore at a good rate.

hope it goes higher along with natural gas. Both being high priced is good for me.

Aren’t you the one who routinely laughed at oilfield people on here when the price was low?

In Baton Rouge the average is $2.43. That is pretty much where it should be in order to keep everyone happy, but gas prices usually go down when the weather gets cooler/cold.

I think $80 is about the sweet spot for oil prices.

Things have changed. High O&G prices now benefit me.

Only going to get worse. Was at dinner with a drilling engineer from Exxon yesterday here in Houston. They’re gearing up for $100 bbl in 2019.

Hopefully this time around people won’t have a short memory and not live rig bonus + day rate check to the next. But shite, Ford stock would take a plunge

You were a bleeding heart about how high oil prices were bad for everyone and your schadenfreude over oilfield people losing their jobs was rampant. So rampant in fact, that I actually remember you years later.

In short, you suck

If you like it when gas is cheap you should move to north Louisiana or New Orleans because you aren’t a true Louisianian

Many of us out here are barely making it with how cheap gas is and can barely afford our mortgages and truck notes.
