More than you would think.
Those trains stop there on a semi-regular basis throughout the day and night.
Having to deal with that enough is how I learned about Spanishtown Road and North Blvd being ways around the tracks.

The trains unload/load cars close to that location. They are always stopped in the early hours as they connect to railyards.

If she is stopped at the railroad tracks and they came out, why would she fricking hit them with a car? Not like there was anyplace to go.
Additionally, she was ambushed she wouldn’t have had any time to react with as many rounds as the tPOS unloaded into the car.

How often are trains on those tracks in that location in the middle of the night?
Very often, day and night. Often stopping to redirect train cars. There’s a fairly large rail yard just north of government street, and the tracks continue north of that rail yard and go right into the ExxonMobil refinery/chemical complex. Lots of train activity in that area.

I really wish some welder Baw would make a steel cross and install it on the pole with 10-6" lag bolts just to make a statement....

since it seems that they could have killed the other two people on the other side of the track first
It’s likely they lived on the opposite side as the two in the car. If so then they needed to get across while train was stopped. If they started anything on that side they’d have been somewhat stranded for a while without a quick getaway if the train started back up.

Which will make it very interesting when someone is arrested & if they have a previous record of violence
If it comes to light that he didn't do what he could to lock them away, instead of letting them create more victims, he would have no choice but to resign.
Please don't let this young woman have been kilt because someone shirked their responsibility.

IMHO, all of this is going to come back to SWB and MP disassembling the work that Dabadie did before she had him removed for a refusal to fire the Sterling cops without cause.

There is some serious covering-thy-arse going on.

Yep. It's been that way for decades. The North BLVD overpass was built b/c the Railroads gave the big
Fun fact, that's the same railyard responsible for the trains stopped at Essen Lane. And they'll stop that MFer any time they want.
8 am on Wednesdays at Essen lane is my favorite.
This picture kinda shows how far they can be backed up there while waiting on rail cars to be switched/configured at the yard.
On relevant note about that rail yard:
Not even the Governor can stop them from banging rail cars together with ZERO concern for noise pollution.
Those "Booms" shake the windows on the houses behind the Governor's Mansion.
My dad's old office at the DOTD backed right up to that yard. I remember it very well.

MRS. Evans DID NOT. My tax dollars at work.

Exxon built an overpass inside the refinery years ago as a way to avoid those damn tracks, those trains will just stop and they DGAF how long anyone has to wait

Trust me these pieces of shite are already by their aunties houses in either of these places already. Shipped there by their mother and/or grandparents. Trust me when I say this...families like this already have cash stashed for moments like this. I've seen it first hand on multiple occasions.

Come to find out someone I worked with knew these folks. Saw some pics of their kid with this girl years ago.
I did not know them or this poor girl not trying to say that. But pics of a kid you know well next to a kid that was murdered make it more gut wrenching.
Sad that I probably will never want to get tipsy in NOLA again. And sad that when my kids time comes LSU is no longer a place I’d want him to go.

So, it looks like a good place for thugs to trap drivers with no real outlets.
There us to be a popular bar in Tuscaloosa not far from the tracks where trains may block the roads that if I ever was going that way, I wouldn't stay waiting, I would drive around knowing alternative routes. Not overly stereotyping, but women tend to not get impatient and drive around a stopped train, like more men will do
