Does anyone have a link to the Fox News segment from today? I saw the one yesterday with Martha McCallum.

I have been trying to keep up with this thread but I am just getting a chance to read back a few pages.

After reading Kiran's article about this witness, there were a few things I questioned.

There is one theory that is the obvious. Bad area, possible car jacking going wrong and they end up shooting her. Given the area its in, its only natural to accept that this is what happened and I would say there is about a 60% chance this is the case.

On the other hand, I say there is a 40% chance (I am really just saying chases or what I mentioned above happened, but that article didn't sit well with me).

So this kid said that he saw these two black dudes and they passed his car up and was going to her vehicle. He said something along the lines of "they both had hoods on and I was wondering why they had hoods on in the summer".

When people lie, they tend to give more details than needed because they are trying to make their story believable.

Then he says he drives off to go another route and he heard the gun shots. So he sees these two black dudes, they look like they were up to no good, there is a vehicle behind him that they seem to be going to, he drives off to go another route, hears gunshots and then doesn't call 911?

He said he then heard about it when he woke up that morning. He did say he had a friend with him so the friend should be able to confirm that story.

He called and reported it to the police, but according to him they didn't seem to make his call a top priority then goes to Kiran to tell his story.

So if these dudes pass up his car, he takes off to go to a different route, I would think she would then pull up to his spot. Of course she could have not been paying attention and not notice the car taking off and then all of a sudden here are two black dudes knocking at your window (assuming her doors or locked).

Being that its 2:30AM, no one around it seems like first instinct would be to put the vehicle in drive and take off. As they see her taking off, they would shoot. But there is no evidence that happened. The only time her vehicle moves is after she is shot.

In the audio you don't hear any loud talking, screaming, etc.

Would they risk being seen by this now witness before going try to car jack the vehicle behind the witness?

There is just something that doesn't exactly add up. And this is all based on the audio and what the witness said and the little information that was given out. And I am just assuming what she would have done in certain situations.

Either way, this case needs to get solved.

And I mentioned this before. With the shite police force and having no confidence in them, could a PI be hired? If so, maybe that would be a route to take in terms of where money should go towards?

I don’t think you accurately read the witness statement. He was on the other side of the train. His lights, and Allie’s lights were facing each other.
The two thugs walked by his car and through the stopped train cars. Under 10 minutes later, gun shots rang out.
The witness then decided to flee and saw Allie doing the same. As the witness drove away he saw Allie’s car suddenly stop. This was because she was shot and tried to drive away but died shortly after trying to flee.
He didn’t know until the next morning what he heard was Allie getting murdered. He immediately called the police and got ghosted.

The witness wasn’t parked in front of her. He was parked on the other side of the train heading in the opposite direction I believe

If someone is downvoting because they think what I said doesn't make sense then tell me what I said is wrong?

She was on the opposite side of the train, according to his story. I do agree that every witness at this point needs to be investigated until they can be ruled out but at this point it might be all the police have to go on.

Actually, a thought just crossed my mind. I wonder if the police are downplaying the witness’s story to make him think they don’t believe him, when in reality he could be their prime suspect. I don’t know, I’m no LE officer so I could be very wrong.

I didn’t downvote, but while scrolling up to catch up on the thread, I had to keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. Brevity is your friend.

She wasn’t partying. She went to where her friend was bartending to make sure she got to her car safely after her shift ended at 2:00 am. After they left the establishment her friend said she was going home. Allie told her she was going to get some french fries and then was going home also. Those french fries were in her lap when she died.

Is the ‘witness’ black? It shouldnt matter but it may explain why the two young college bound honor students acted the way they did. (If they exist)

I almost feel sorry for the next poor student worker that calls me asking for a donation. LSU is more worried about cracking down on tennis players repeating rap lyrics than students being raped, kidnapped and murdered.

LSU made a point of royally fricking me over on a technicality as a student. I got tired of the fundraising calls and one day laid it out straight to one of the kids calling that they were wasting their time and I will never, ever donate to my alma mater because of how they treated me. I haven’t gotten a call since.

The instagram comments on Kiran’s post about the witnesses (and all the posts about Allie) just ruined my night. They’re full of people insisting she was probably killed by someone she knows & the witnesses are lying race baiters. I hate people.

Either you've been drinking or your reading comprehension is really poor ...

The witness stated:
-She wasn't behind him she was on the other side of the train.
-He didn't leave until after he heard the gun shots.
-I think he only said only one was wearing a red hoodie.

he must have been pretty close to the shots when the went off and it's is a little strange he didn't call it in, but there are possible explanations for it. I would be more suspicious of it if there weren't two people together, but that makes it more credible.

Has SWB made a statement on this yet?

It's too bad it couldn't have been a member of her family that was shot instead, maybe Sharon Broome would be tough on crime.

Not that I’ve seen.
We need to get LSU involved. If not for LSU, Baton Rouge would fade into irrelevancy. LSU is the body that could demand change and it actually happen.

I have a meeting with my city council member tomorrow. I’m hoping we can get some things on the council’s agenda moving forward.

Not sure if this is plausible, but if the perpetrators and the witnesses had cell phones on them then they should be able to capture geo-data on those devices, no?
1. To verify witnesses account
2. Determine who else may have been in the area?

This story makes me hurt so bad for the family and friends of this girl…just hope they catch whoever did this

I think this is why the FBI is now involved. Goodness knows the FBI could use a big ‘win’ after the last few years of nuts being drug across their faces.

Serious questions here:

Why would SWB make a statement about this?
Does she ever make statements regarding specific homicides?

What does everyone expect LSU do about this? Raise funds? Solve the murder?

She made a statement Friday

quote:

EBR Mayor President Sharon Weston Broome issued a statement in response:

My heart goes out to the family, loved ones, and classmates of Allison Rice, a young LSU student who had her entire life ahead of her. This senseless violence is completely unacceptable and Baton Rouge Police officers are thoroughly investigating to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Our university community is an essential part of the fabric of Baton Rouge. It is of the utmost importance as we welcome students from across our state and the nation that we create a safe environment. I am coordinating a meeting with LSU and Southern University’s Presidents, BRCC Chancellor, Student Government, BRPD and East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office to discuss safety for all of our college students in Baton Rouge.

I urge anyone with information about this senseless crime to please contact Baton Rouge Police Department or Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers.

I bet that’s gonna be one hell of a lunch
