Agreed
The family that was killed in the hit & run will be buried today

I can’t imagine hitting a car, watching it go in up flames & driving away like it never happened

Police have no leads on who hit them

They truly are tone deaf idiots, last weekend an LSU student is gunned down at a railroad crossing , this morning they have an officer standing in the middle lane at the railroad crossing of Brightside and Nicholson writing inspection sticker tickets , I know the officer is just doing his job but the optics are terrible

Is he really? They post up as crossing guards on game days closer to campus at Gourrier and Skip Berman to get pedestrians safely across Nicholson. That's stupid and nuts if they are writing tickets to people coming to the LSU Game.

Yes he had the pad out writing a ticket blocking the left turn lane from Brightside on to Nicholson. I saw him on my way to Rouses and thought the unmarked car was way early for traffic control then on my way back across writing tickets

No city with uncontrolled crime should waste any resources on bullshite traffic violations.

Sure, pull over someone speeding excessively or driving unsafely. But you can't bitch about manpower, yet have cops sitting in the shade radar-gunning people going to work, or writing inspection sticker tickets.

It's a tax on working people and a waste of resources.

And thats money and man hours that can be going to the investigation.

Again, here’s a shoutout to Murphy Paul:

To Progressive leaders, this is the opposite.

They are giving tickets where they know they can get money. Money comes from the tax payers.....who they HATE with a passion.

Win-win for them.

I’m taking a guess that if Robert Stack was still alive he could do an entire Unsolved Mysteries series on BR alone.

They may actually do it by accident in her case…. IIRC, she went to Dutchtown and they use LSU purple and gold.

The city confidential episode about BR is interesting.

Imagine the high number of people living in NBR that have killed three or more people that would be classified as serial killers. I bet the number is staggering and that same person is pumping gas next to you on Lobdell, close to Bocage.

LSU doesn’t want to draw anymore attention to this. They’d like it to be displaced by some other news story.

Joke is on them then. Any parent googling LSU will find multiple OT threads on BR crime as well as this thread. LSU can bury it all they want, Chicken won’t be bullied into deleting this thread though.

I’ve said this for years: if cities would get rid of the revenue -based policing strategies and put virtually all of their manpower towards violent crime, including robbery and property crimes, they would have no financial issues.

Property taxes and sales taxes would sky-rocket.

It’s short-sighted to rely on your tax base being forced to pay you money because you ticketed them on the way home from work.

Fight crime and give them a safe place to live and work and your town will prosper.

Crime is a factor in almost every problem in a city, from property values to school performance, which all have a direct impact on tax receipts.

It could be that when they say the witness does not exist, they do not mean that in literal terms but mean that there was nobody there. I am thinking they somehow know that there was no car on the other side of the tracks and hence “no witness exists” but do not want to say how they know for some reason and calling it “misinformation” which turned into a shite show because nobody trusts them in general.

His story also has numerous holes. He says he saw her pull up and they were both sitting on opposite sides, then the two guys walked by his car through the stopped train cars and not even 10 mins later he hears gunfire, sees her car reverse back and then just stopped with no doors open on it……but at the same time he didnt know it was being shot at? and he decided if that car was leaving maybe he should too. How would the car be leaving if it was stopped at the same time in the middle of gunfire and how would you not see all of the bullet holes in the window if you can also see the doors to know they were closed. Also how can you see her entire car like that through stopped train cars? And you hear that kind of gunfire and you just back up and leave and not think to call the police until the next morning after seeing the news ? The audio recording also …you can clearly hear the train moving and the clank of the cars stopping almost immediately before gunshots….but he says they were stopped at the tracks for no more than 10 minutes before shots were fired? He also told Allie’s dad that it was only one minute later before hearing shots based on his interview (but told kiran 10 mins which is a big difference).

Witnesses give false information sometimes, for whatever reason it can it happen, its the reason we were looking for a white guy with a white truck when it was really derek todd lee, a black guy in a maroon truck.

is a ring camera on the front of a business on that side of the tracks and that could be how they know….amazon will give the footage of ring cameras without owner permission or a warrant, so this could also be the camera that the business owner is also saying “nobody has contacted us” …. Because they technically do not have to contact them to get it. I hope there is a witness but I also know that For whatever reason, people do sometimes try to interject themselves into investigations whether its for attention , to feel important, impress friends, so I just have a lot of doubts and suspicions

And that’s why I pay the extra $1/gal to get gas at Bocage Chevron.
