It's unwatchable.

We all know many were affirmative action hires. My own Fortune 100 employer gives preference based on minority status. I assume ESPN, et al have similar hiring practices.
In general IDGAF, but that husky-voiced chick ESPN has doing play-by-play football has annoyed me for over a decade now. She was doing one of the bowl games yesterday. I put it on mute, but one of my kids came through and turned up the volume. I ended up just turning it off. Not a gender thing--her voice is just really, really annoying.

I refer to them as "the whore on the floor."

Don’t watch Sportscenter. Simple solution. I only watch ESPN for live sports anyways.
I’ve seen this post a thousand times. Followed a few days later by, “Did you see how stupid Stephen A. looked going off on whomever this morning?” from the same poster.

If your not angry your not paying attention

Joy Taylor from FS1 has been looking really hot lately.

This is true. It's unfortunate because Rachel Nichols was right, but she chose one of the very few exceptions to get angry over. Maria Taylor is one of the best sports anchors out there regardless of gender.

Most are pretty good at their jobs, then again I am not sexist

Most sports reporters are superfluous

it's not like it's rocket surgery, it's just way overblown, do we really need five talking heads to cover one football game?

unwatchable now

So men should not cover ladies softball, iyho? It is possible to cover a sport well, even though one did not play the sport. Is putting attractive women on sports overdone? Possibly yes
Posted on 12/28/22 at 11:53 am to Scientific73
Yeah, majority women anchors is an ESPN feature and only an ESPN feature.
Not like FOX News is any different.

Was watching Sportscenter at the gym this morning with Ashley Brewer hosting (
). At the top of the hour, she was off and two dudes came on to host. Stopped watching after that.

I don't think it's a gender problem at ESPN. It feels like nowadays, the reporters/anchors/"personalities" just give surface-level, fluff "analysis" and I often just feel bored watching SportsCenter, whereas 10-15 years ago I was much more excited to watch it.
And, yes, it does often feel like there are pre-planned talking points, which does not produce watchable TV.

Op would rather watch dudes.

Please point me to my ESPN hate threads. I have a job; no time for that
