This article is literally too stupid to insult. Alexandria may be the saddest town I have ever visited, including the ones I’ve seen in the third world. That place just reeks misery, literally. The smell from that paper mill is olfactory AIDS.

Please don’t sugar coat it.

Alexandria is actually much worse than this description.

However, about three and a half hours northwest of NOLA lies a hidden gem full of excellent chefs whose skills could match the best in France

You know, sometimes people make comments that are so fricking insane and absurd that I just don’t know what to say to it. This is one of those times.

Noted chefs in America’s actual food Meccas sacrifice time and money just to travel to France and stage at restaurants in France to understudy under master chefs, but who knew they could just travel to Alexandria LOUISIANA instead.

The embodiment of BAT shite HILLBILLY frickING CRAZY.

The Traffic Circle is the ultimate panty dropper. One trip through there is all you’ll need.

AEX bit the dust when England Air Force Base pulled up stakes and left town. I have no reason to go there now that my aunt and uncle have both died.

Thanks for posting!

I can't wait to bring my loved one to Alexandria, Louisiana, very soon for a romantic getaway.

Best part of Ellick is leaving and the woods are full of hungry ticks and red bugs.

The trick is taking the south circle as fast as possible to get to the Mall!

Few things unite this board but bashing on Alexandria is one of them. It's kind of pathetic because I'm sure a lot of good people from there support LSU. Plus most of you aren't exactly living in spectacular cities yourself.

Living in a shitty city doesn’t automatically preclude one from calling another city shitty.

Edit: that may be the best inadvertent poem I’ve ever written.

Tunk's Cypress Inn sucks too. Lousy assed seafood platter, and the kids were asking what the nasty purple disks were on on their fried shrimp plates. What restaurant in their right mind puts fricking pickled beet slices on the kid's plates? I will say, the atmosphere of the place did have potential, though.
