Alexandria is the most bland, generic city I’ve ever been to

Could you provide some evidence backing up this assertion?

Not that I'm dissing Alex, or pumping up BR. Just curious why you would make such a claim.

From the same site that praises Alexandria LA

5 Must Visit Pubs in the Andaman Islands

The Andaman Islands are half way between India and Cambodia (Myanmar now). It's familiar because a couple of those islands weren't wiped out by the massive tsunami because the natives knew to run for higher ground.

These "best of" things and travel blogs are so ridiculous. I believe it's pay to play.

When did hookers, blow, and a crappy hotel become romantic?

I spent five bucks in that strip club one night for a friends birthday party which was dirt cheap.
Visions in New Orleans or Mardi Gras in Atlanta would have cost me a lot more.
He actually thought that strip climb was the place to go.
He was depressed when that club closed down.

Riverfete was a good event but the new mayor's administration ruined it this year, it was an absolute disaster. Ditto for the 4th of July festival- everything is now catered to one particular cultural element, if you get my drift. There used to be a good balance of pleasing everyone- no more!

You've been here for nearly 7 years, and this is the first time you choose to post, with a bump on THIS thread?!

Can't wait for what you will bump the next time you post.

I can’t wait to see how terrible it is next year after the debacle that was riverfete this year. Y’all gonna have to tell me how it was. I ain’t going unless there is a cover charge. You know the culcha won’t pay to get in.

I recently had Sunday brunch at the Bentley. Mimosa pitchers were $12 and the food was very good. Especially for Ellick.

Was surprised.

Alexandria was an important Louisiana city at one point, but then those pesky horseless carriages arrived. Alec fell behind as the interstate system developed and it was left out.
