Didn't I read that he refused the initial breathalyzer test? That alone is getting a regular Joe arrested. The fact that it took months to be reported is enough to dispel Alec's bullshite theory.
ETA: Yep, I did read that he refused the test. So, the law is that if you refuse you will be arrested. Period. It goes for him as much as anyone.

Famous/uber-rich people are weird as shite. Seems like they are surrounded by "yes" men and never actually over-lapping with the way most people in the country live.

Probably because Springsteen's people were worried that if it got reported immediately, Jeep would have pulled their ad from the Superbowl and he wouldn't have gotten paid, so they had it kept secret until after the game. Highly convenient that his commercial airs, a day later the news is reported on the DUI from 3 months ago, and then a day later Jeep pulls the ad from TV.
