Is this thing still over the Yucatán peninsula? Also when should we begin to feel the effects in south Louisiana along our coast?

00z Euro has a strong TS or Cat 1 pushing into the Central Gulf Coast

There is still a fair bit of uncertainty in the ensembles with both the GEFS and Euro EPS still showing SE Louisiana over to the Panhandle as being potential landfall areas.

0z Euro rainfall totals

6z GFS rainfall totals

Basically the immediate landfall area and areas east will see fairly high totals, and anything west past 30 miles could stay very dry.

I’m spending Sunday night at the golden nugget in Biloxi

Is it going to be an expensive night due to being stuck inside? TIA

Models coming together a bit but there is still some uncertainty since we are about 84 hours until landfall Monday evening.

If that's the course mobile bay and surrounding water ways are going to be trashed. Gonna have to go pick up everything off the doc and get the boats out of the water this weekend.

Anyone have any idea what type weather it would take for Destin to call for an evacuation? I'm OK with being stuck inside. I just don't want to get there on Saturday afternoon only to be told we have to turn around and go home.

The only reason I am even thinking about this is that someone previously mentioned a strong tropical storm or possibly a cat 1. I don't think that would call for evacuation where I live so I'm assuming that it would it not for one there either but I have no idea.
