re: Alabama governor signs law banning puberty blockers, gender transition surgeries

I'm generally against gov't involvement between doctors and patients and even more so between parents and children. While I think most would agree that forcibly changing a child's gender through powerful drugs and/or surgery is bad, there are a million plus other decisions that could potentially as bad or worse that the gov't doesn't currently involve themselves in.

So you think it's backwards to prevent teachers from discussing sex and gender reassignment with kindergarteners?
Interesting.

Alabama takes so much pride in being a state full of dumbass rednecks

so I guess puberty blockers can be used for other situations besides gender transitions.
Yes. I've heard it can help in certain cancers. Going to have to rely on normal people to report cases of fraud to law enforcement, which shouldn't be a problem in Alabama.

I'm from Mississippi and don't know a single person from there that supports talking about sex to a kindergartener.

We have to allow men to become women and women to become men in the United States. Otherwise we cannot allow immigrants from countries who have depleted all of their resources to come here. You see if Americans have fewer kids then people from Central/South American can have more kids.

I'm sorry that you permanently mutilate children anymore.

The irony is thick in this post by user "Grateful Reb".

It’s amazing that this had to be banned, that this wasn’t something that automatically was considered harmful to people.
Although outrage from the anything but straight crowd is fun to watch

Republicans love it when the government tells us what we can or cannot do with our own bodies.

Interesting.
Progressive liberals see no issue with mental illness, because it's part of their DNA.

Alabama women's swimming is going to kickass in 10 years!

No, I think it’s backwards to pass a law that is intentionally hateful towards children without taking any time to try and understand the issue at hand. But it’s an election year and that’s the political climate at this time, and by god we’re not going to let another state out-ignorant us.

What's funny to me is that you have to be 18 to get a tattoo because they are permanent, yet the left and progressives lose their collective minds when that same concept is applied to chopping off your dick...and permanently altering your physical and mental development.
