It's about time.

This increase has not only worried air services, but has required many airlines to take steps towards changing their animal travel policy.

A few of these airlines include United, Delta, and Jet Blue.

United had a 75% increase of ESAs in the last year; they now require confirmation that animal can behave along with medical records. Delta has banned pit bulls, and Jet Blue requires advanced documentation.

“Somebody brought an emotional support animal for their emotional support animal,” said United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz.

I'm fine with the support animals, what can we do about all the fricking kids?

How can they do this? This is literally fascism. If I can't fly with my miniature giraffe Steven they'll just lose my money and go out of business.

What are the plans for the regular animals that fly on those airlines?

I just wonder what made them even think to try it in the first place. There really are people who are raised and live with very little common sense and reason.

Animals on planes is crazy to begin with. Even for blind people. It creates a safety issue anyway not to mention liability if one of those dogs bites someone.

I support the change so freaking much.

I know there are some legit reasons why people need them but too many people have ruined a good thing.

I’d rather an emotional support hamster than someone’s kid playing a handheld game without headphones or a screaming baby.

Someone needs to tighten the leash on folks getting a free ride in a wheel chair who are not wheel chair bound.

Just because you aren’t wheelchair bound doesn’t mean you can walk long distances. We put my wife’s grandma in a wheelchair in airports and football games because, while she can walk, it best that she doesn’t walk such long distances that both of those entail.

Utopia: kids are banned from public places of close quarters

Reality: they are not

Tip: noise cancelling headphones are a thing of beauty, screeching kid or not

Unethical Tip: if you're seated next to a kid, tell the air hostess you're not totally sure you should be seated so close to a minor.
