It's not unreasonable to get your legit hospital bills paid. Our insurance paid out $60k for a low speed fender bender.
If she's all torn up, she's probably going to need physical therapy, too.

This is it right here. Trust me that the insurance companies will try to get off cheap. You need a lawyer who specializes who can walk your through the process and to make sure you are not out that money, but also are covered for future pain. She is a wreck right now, and you do not know if she will need counciling to help her work through it: that is the pain and suffering part of these lawsuits.
