Don't bother with this. We can't help you with anything. Get an attorney.

hospitals often won't even bill insurance if there is an accident involved so they get 100% of their bill paid

You missed the point. As usual I can’t believe you’re actually a lawyer

Why do you doubt that?

Not all of those party busses are properly insured.

I didn’t say anything about billing or paying the bill.

He said he was worried about receiving a $15k bill. Idc how much the bill is, as long as the person in the accident is covered or it’s clear it’s the other parties fault, he shouldn’t be worried about a hospital bill.

what does health insurance have to do with this?

specifically, what does her health insurance, the specific health insurance you referenced, have to do with liability insurance of other parties?

I hope your daughter is feeling better; I’m sure she’ll be fine.

When I was at LSU, a car in front of me pulled out on Burbank and got hit. The driver was a hottie in a Chi O tshirt. She had a cut on her forehead. I had a towel to apply pressure while we waited for the ambulance. The ambulance arrived and it was two young guys. A lot of their questions were about whether she hit the steering wheel with her chest and they kept asking her if she wanted them to do a quick chest exam. Finally, she relented and they went into the back of the ambulance and closed the doors.

I’m certain they post here.

If you don't seek an attorney then the insurance companies are going to screw you. Book it.

Happened to me once when I got rear ended and tried to handle it the honest way.

The finance guys will not allow you to claim the 15 on personnel health and also claim the 15 on defendants insurance. Commen enough double dipping that defendants insurance would require co-signing the settlement.

what does her health insurance have to do with that question?

especially when you already said that a liability policy would likely pay for the bill

hence, why i said earlier, hospitals typically won't even bill health insurance when an accident is involved. why? to get 100% payment of the bill through a liability policy. hospitals don't have to take contractual rates when they do that, which they'd have to do if they bill health insurance.

but i have no idea what i'm saying. go ahead and explain what her health insurance has to do with this

Who’s going to pay if the party bus doesn’t?

Who said that?

Once again, if anyone is reading this thread.

Do not hire any attorney named Jake from Lake Charles unless you just need a notary

i'm sure there is some fraudulent way to do this, but typically the adjuster won't settle without the bills. if health insurance paid, the bills will show that. hell, the insurance companies are connected and exchange information and a subro claim is likely already in the system.
