Had an interview with someone a few weeks ago.
Some red flags:
1. Lives in town but refused to do an in-person meeting.
2. Would only do the interview after 5:00 p.m.
3. Wouldn't say why they were looking to leave their current employer except looking for a new opportunity.
4. Wouldn't say why they were interested in my employer other than it was a new opportunity.
5. When pressed, would not state what a "new opportunity" represented; we offer almost identical services as their employer, so I expected to hear something like few opportunities for advancement, getting pigeon-holed, more of challenge, etc. Crickets.
6. Despite not knowing why they were looking for a new opportunity or what that opportunity was, they needed an answer in 3 weeks.
Not an interview thing, but resume said "more than X+ years' experience" when the employment dates equaled X and a few months. Why put "more than" and "+"?
They did not receive an offer which seems was what they were angling for to take back to their current employer. If they had just made some stuff up, they'd have had a better chance of getting one. Ticked me off more that it got me home later for nothing. Just disrespectful.

Had a guy answer his phone mid interview... he walked out of my office and was pacing around our office. Visitors need to be accompanied, so I was following him around at a distance. It was so uncomfortable... needless to say that was the end of that.

Visible tattoos. Piercings other than earrings for women.

Absolutely.
Driving a primer truck would be a non-starter.

I suppose that’s why he offered me a job shortly after.
You tried… but you failed

I'd walk at a brisk pace to my office with the applicant.
