They had another plan, that would have been a diverging diamond intersection and wouldn't have a flyover from southbound loyola.
Though it would have taken out the hotel, ten feet of Susan park and four section eight fourplexes.
I liked that plan better for flow.
This plan means that north Kenner residents heading to the city have no access to gas or restaurants before work.
Also it takes out the access to Sams.

I have to fly out in June to move to Portland, I dont want to be burdened or any discomfort

No it isn’t. It’s a horrendous airport.

You are wrong about the delays for the interstate expansion. The delays were all local. NO didn't start planning for an exit until 2015. Then they have been fighting Kenner about compensation for their fire station.
The project is still going through the last round of public hearings. It's s mess but it's not the state's mess.

You're mistaken. The state DOTD is in charge of the interstate. It had to go before the state budget and be approved. It's on NOLA sure, but the State knew the new terminal was being built.
The fire house thing was the mayor wanting a price to build something like what metaire has been doing with its new firehouses. The best in the parish IMO.
What was crazy was paying that much for land behind Church's Chicken.

BS
I am business traveler and no airport is more convenient. Park at US Park, they drop me off at the first door, I walk down B and I am TSA pre and am at the gate in no time.
There are many airports lots worse than MSY. Vegas, St Louis, both Chicago airports, Nashville, MSP, Reagan are examples.

Minority vendor too since the cousin is a woman. Contract specified certain amounts to minorities. They did want to pour much—they just wanted big checks for less work I suspect.

MSY today is great for frequent local flyers.
MSY is a massive pile of shite. The new terminal is gorgeous. Typical backwards Louisiana mentality of not liking change or improvement.

How is Reagan worse than Nola? It’s connected to mass transit and very easy to access.

No it isn’t. It’s a horrendous airport.
As a local traveler, all I want is an airport easy to get in and out of and quick security lines. MSY currently does that great for me
I’m never ever ever going to eat in my home airport or spend much time in there so I am having trouble seeing what you hate so much about it as a local
A newer terminal with fancy looking decor and better restaurants that is now a pain in the arse to get in and out of fricks me as a frequent traveler and does nothing for me at all.

It really does nothing for anyone, people go and take off, land and leave. It isn't like a busy hub where people wait for connections.
Now it is just massively inconvenient to reach.

Isn't that neighborhood in front of the new airport pretty much a ghetto? What an ugly view for people to see when they first arrive into New Orleans.

BTR will never compete with MSY and once everything is all finished and in service a few years, BTR will be no more active than it is today.

Why dont people ever want good things for this city?
The current airport is trash. Food is terrible, bathrooms are terrible. Access to outlets, terrible.

Seems to be the theme of all southern LA govt threads.
They didn’t take to public office because they wanted to work.

The new airport is going to be a big headache for passengers. Not just the traffic issues.
Posted on 3/20/19 at 7:52 am to I B Freeman
You can still park at US, just instead of a five minute shuttle it'll take 15 or more. The shuttles will now take the Glazer access road to veterans then to Bainbridge to the airport.
Unless Bainbridge isn't ready and they go to Aberdeen .

Please elaborate. And don’t say it’s because of one security access point because that shows you don’t know what the frick you’re talking about.
