Now it might have been implied that I brought them to school, I did not though. I just know of a few that did and didn't get in trouble or were only told to get it off the school grounds or hide it from plain sight.
I was just saying that it wasn't immediate getting taken to jail or brought the cops.
It was particularly popular during turkey or deer season as they would go immediately after school.

I graduated HS in 09 and we got away with everything. No school uniforms, all the guys dipped snuff in class we just kept the spit cup on our desk in plain view, we all had guns in our trucks, carried a 6 inch knife in our back pocket in the school. We would drink beer in left field lounge during the baseball games.

We settled our issues with fists back then. If we had personal problems, we just committed suicide instead of committing mass murder on society. Ah, the good old days.

I did, and never got in trouble. Used to go hunting before school all of the time, or planned to leave right after to hunt. I stopped after the cops told me to though

I don't know if you went to school 9 miles in the woods or what, but I graduated 15 years ago and I'm calling bullshite. We couldn't have weapons at school in Baton Rouge 25 years ago.

I'd squeeze off a few warning shots when I stepped outta my car in the mornings. Struck terror into the hearts of my foes. That was just the way we did things back then.

I'm being serious about my school. They didn't give 2 shits what we did. I can remember putting up a paper target against the wooden ticket booth at the football field and using it to sight in our bows for deer season before football practice.

In plaquemine, we had a guy get caught with a muzzleloader. The principle, an older farming woman, was cool with it. The administrator, who was a pussy, said the poor guy was gonna shoot up the school. I was in there because I rode to school with the guy.
I started laughing, then he started laughing, then the cop and the principal started laughing. The administrator freaked out and started shouting it wasn't a laughing matter.
Then I got to watch the cop explain that while the situation was very serious, he was certain the kid wasn't gonna go on a shooting spree seeing as how it would take days.

Google Earth East St. John High School, and look at what's behind it. BIG PIECE OF SWAMP. Have changed out of camo into street clothes in the parking lot many a times. No telling what's been killed "backuh a duh high schoooo"

My grandpa said when he was in school, if two kids were about to fight, they would send them to the gym and the boxing coach would give them gloves and let them get it out their system.

I graduated in 2000. Many of us would have our rifles or shotguns in our trucks during hunting season but we damn sure didn't let anybody know about it. Even then, if you got caught, you were in pretty big trouble. I can remember leaving school and going evening hunting and would have my gun behind the seat of my single cab or under all my hunting clothes so nobody could walk by and see it.

We'd show up for Saturday detention during hunting season decked out in our camo and leave right after for the camp. Admins knew we had guns in the vehicles, but never mentioned it.

We had to lock our guns in our cars (no pistols). Always carried a pocket knife, too.
