Objectively define the difference between "news" reporting one side's policy tragedy red meat vs the other. Seriously, can you even articulate it? Both end up being terrible tragedy used to inflame and generate click through for eye balls.
We've long passed to Rubicon of civilization in this country im afraid. Tragedy is profit, and it's incredible to watch people treating it like it's a spectator sport.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. I'm sure I agree if it's just bemoaning our news media generally.
I would, however, single out NPR just because it's one of those entities regularly held up by other left-leaning mainstream news sources as some sacred institution that's above reproach when it's anything but (another one that comes to mind is SPLC).

"News Media" isn't just the Big 4 networks anymore. And honestly, I don't think many here watch CNN, MSN, FOX or CBS to even know what they're ranting about. Right? News today is anyone with a "platform". But you know this.
