Do your family a big favor and never buy a house with one of those metal spiral staircases. I promise you your family/wife will get tired of it and they are usually put in because there is no room for a standard staircase.

That’s awesome. I could never live in it, but that’s awesome. I am way too private and depressing for all that. I need to be able to shut out the outside world if I need to.

A few comments

Photo 6 of 45

Do you see the crack in the left side brick wall that has been (Poorly) repaired?

Look at the driveway photo 9 of 45. Badly cracked.

Sidewalk to front door Photo 10 of 45 is tilting up and down at expansion seams.

Photo 13 of 45 has a repaired crack in brick moving away from that painting on the right side of the photo.

The house has foundation problems that will be expensive to properly address.

I am not a structural engineer, but I am very suspicious the left side of the house is moving down the hill and will only get worse.

I will quote my dad, who was a construction engineer - "Flat roofs leak. If not today, then tomorrow."

I know 3.2 million is not big money for Architectural designed houses, but that house has problems. Hopefully whoever buys it will have it carefully inspected before closing. Even better, before making an offer.

The interior designer of that house must have been a fan of "Mad Men."

Conversation pits always sort of just look porny. Just looks like a place where people do coke.
All that glass makes me feel bad for the cleaning lady.

This would be considered a starter home for most OTers.
