Another poster, from another state, mentioned rules in his state that seemed to not allow restaurants to purchase eggs from retail sources.

Do you honestly think you can’t go buy eggs for your restaurant at the grocery store?

Do you own a restaurant? Work at a McDonald’s? Wash dishes in a hotel?

Call centers are pretty similar in soul sucking, too.

I've always said you can judge a person by how they treat people in the service industry. My brother-in-law manages a nice seafood restaurant on James Island and he's totally swamped right now.

Awesome well said. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for many many years and thinking about going and working a few shifts for the hell of it because I know somebody that can’t get servers to come back .(she’s calling the state and I don’t think they realize it lol)

Good luck. I haven’t seen any issues out here. Let me know when back to normal. Maybe I’ll visit then.

It absolutely is and it’s not just the customers. I’ve never worked at any restaurant that was completely devoid of politics although some were better than others, arse kissing to get all the good sections and being placed in shite sections every night when some new girl gets the good party tables and she doesn’t know wtf to do so they make you help her even though you won’t get paid for it.

But it’s not just soul sucking, it’s also soul enriching. Everybody getting off work at the end of a hard night and going out for beers. You make really good friends working at one. Not typical office drone people either, their are legit fun people that serve. I’ve know many people that met their SO at one, myself included. It’s a terrible but wonderful experience and definitely not for everybody.

I once went on a first date with a guy who brought his dog along on the date. I thought it was sweet at first that he wanted to introduce me to his pet, he was not only evil to his dog, but to the waiter as well.

I never spoke to him again. I was grateful that he showed me right away that he was a jerk.

NO, I will not share photos.

Damn, man. I used to bartend and wait tables during school; it was a lot of fun tttt

I waited tables 20+ years ago.It was the easiest money I probably
ever made. I t was a high end steak house open for dinner only and the kitchen closed at 11:00.

I really only humped it for about 3 hours every night and would almost always walk with $200+ every night...just amazed at the people in the industry who continually bitch about customers.

I wouldn't think there would be an issue with sourcing your products from the supermarket, but I don't know the rules and regulations that restaurants have to follow. I've seen some retarded regulations, and you can't trust your legislators to not make dumb rules after a Sysco type company starts filling pockets.

I was trying to give our op the benefit of the doubt. He can't be that retarded can he?

Because you can buy the eggs cheaper at the grocery store than restaurants can get them right now.

Did not read past the first page and this was probably addressed in the next 6 pages but maybe you can buy from the grocery too??? I'm not sure; but I think they will sell you some eggs.

Also, don't bitch at costumers (even if potential) with out them/us you have no sales.
