Stout, try this. Delete any and all of your saved addresses and then recreate your home shipping address.

Twice in the past, almost everything I tried to order would show 3-5 days while my neighbor would place an order for the same items and it would show next day delivery.

Deleted my address and then recreated it and problem went away.

I just tried that and it didn't change anything but thanks for the suggestion

And yes, these are all fulfilled by Amazon products. Not fulfilled by the seller, which has always been 4-5 days

I'm 3 miles from the Hub in BR and I'm seeing the same thing. Some items are still under 24 hours but some have had rather shocking delivery dates like
4 days for some running socks and a hydro jug.
5 days for a Book for my daughter's English Class.

Amazon changed its shipping policy. They always had language in the contract stating that 1-, 2-, or 3-day shipping only referred to how long delivery took once the item actually shipped. In reality, pre-pandemic Amazon presented and advertised it as how long it would take from clicking “buy” until it hit your door. After COVID, they changed policy to reflect the contract language, so “1–3 day shipping” doesn’t mean shite if the order sits for five days before it even ships.

I saw it happen while I was living in Seattle, so this isn’t just a “you live in the sticks” problem.

Amazon changed how quickly it moves orders from purchase to shipment, and that changed the service customers were actually paying for. Honestly, the only reason I still have Prime is that it bills once a year and I forget about it.

Also i think the technicality is that you will receive it in 2 days once shipped. That does not mean it will be shipped and delivered within 2 days

I buy more and more from Walmart, same day delivery and no tip.

Walmart is no question a better option. There are things that Walmart might not sell, that Amazon does.. But I am just realizing this. A few weeks ago I ordered batteries from Amazon. AA & AAA batteries. They were delivered in two days, if I would have ordered them from Walmart and had it delivered it would have been at my door in 12-15 mins after ordering IF I ordered before 7PM.

Amazon Prime cost $139 a year while Walmart cost $98 a year. The only advantage to Amazon is that they sell everything and walmart, especially smaller walmarts, might not have everything you want.

I placed an order, 3 things over the weekend.

Two arrive, I go check on white socks, won't be here until 10/1.

You and I are just outside of the city limits, so I thought maybe that has something to do with the change. I used some addresses of my rental houses in the city limits to see if it made a difference and it's the same story

I called and complained today about everything taking so long for Lake Charles suddenly and they gave me a $40 refund on my Prime subscription because it just renewed on the 12th. The customer service rep also put in a tech ticket for me, but that isn't going to change anything, and she had no explanation.

About an hour ago, I ordered something from Walmart+ that will be here tomorrow. Amazon showed the same item with the earliest possible delivery on Sunday
