Tell him he’s an idiot. Everyone knows what a racist is and yes - if POC talk shite and hate on white people that’s racist. It’s a back door excuse for POC to openly talk shite about white people without repercussions.
Tell him that’s the equivalent of some people historically thinking killing Jews or blacks isn’t murder because “they’re not human”.

I've heard a black person say that black people can't be racist as well, but I don't understand why this is a them vs us thing because clearly not all black folks have the same views.

Just accept that if you are white, you are a racist. If half the country believes it, you should interact with society knowing where you stand and plan accordingly. It’s bullshite but at the same time it’s liberating not trying to prove a negative.
Everyone is treated equally under the law, everyone gets dealt a different hand at birth. So what systemic racism system are you referring to?
