You should tell that to the blonde in the video who smashes Red Bulls instead of Millers.

the amount of talent at BYU is actually staggering. I feel like if you were halfway normal, or as much as a mormon could be, you are leaving there married to a smoke show. I dont know how non mormons would fare but I would guess there is a decent chunk there because their parents made them go and are looking for a way out.

A way out ? A way out of what ?? A beautiful mountainous terrain where people aren't staggering around half drunk ?

Also I dont understand the obsession with "marriage".. as a guy who's been there and done it , been to the puppet show and seen the strings- if you find yourself surrounded by beautiful women, dont marry one, just date as many of them as possible,. life is short... and yes, ive heard that what the mormon women lack in drinking /partying, they more than make up for in other 'fun' ways .......

I can confirm 100% that "magic underwear" exist, or it did at least in the 1960's or 1970's when a pal and me went exploring the MTT in Salt Lake at about 3am when we were bored and could not sleep.

It's refreshing to go to a game and not have drunks yelling obscenities throughout and puking all over.

That is the way it used to be in college football. Back in the day, the men wore coat and tie and the women dressed like ladies. That started changing with the Vietnam War.

Same here but I also doubt that these things happened, they are committed to a very unique belief system.

I'm not sober but I hadn't drank in a year. I ended that steak with one drink in Vegas the other day but only one.

Salt Lake Acity is not a real place. It's only a metaphor.

It's a cult.

If you have to wear sacred underwear and you have to divorce the church and be shunned if you leave then it's a cult. Nonna will still cook for you if you stop going to mass. LDS aren't scientologist in that sense but they don't make it easy to leave the church.

People hate on what they've got going, but we'll all be knocking down their doors for entry soon enough....fatigue is real

Mormons believe that too. But plus the...
Underwear
Golden tablets
Native American angels.
Bad people being turned dark skinned

Etc. They are quirkier. Plus I rink most Christians don't really think they are drinking blood and eating flesh.

Not drinking is fine.
But those people need Christ alone without the blasphemy of Joseph Smith.

It’s a shame they are in the dark.

A way of strict and rigid Mormonism. Great friend of mine is “ex-mo” and there are plenty that would date/marry outside od Mormonism to get out of it.

Does not compute .

Im not trying to be obtuse.. and I dont think im naive.. but in 2026 if someone 'wants out of LDS'- simply get in your car and leave Utah.. or fly out of SLC to another place .. or stay there and just stop going to church (though I think that would be a tougher option).. it has zero to do with marriage, and everything to to with mobility and having a pair of balls to just gtfo... then if marriage is your thing- marry someone who isnt indoctrinated into any religion.. or, someone who's into another religion you like better than LDS .

Yeah you’d think that but leaving Mormonism is not easy. Just do some light reading and it won’t be hard to figure out. The indoctrination and deep rooted psychological stranglehold it has on people is insane. You won’t just most likely lose your parents and siblings you’ll lose your entire community because of how insular they are.

The nicest people I've met have been nearly all Mormons... but it is still a creepy cult, like the Catholic Church.
