A College Gameday Without Alcohol (BYU)

Thought this video was an interesting take.. fwiw i am Gen X and sober.. while I drank quite a bit in my college days (LSU) and in my 20s, im glad I cut back to almost zero drinking in my 30s and 40s b/c I feel good and relatively healthy for my age today.. im fairly certain that wouldn't be the case if id kept on imbibing like most of my peers.. Not judging though, just gotta do what's right for you .

BYU fans are very nice. They even pass ice cream out to the visitors section during the game. It's refreshing to go to a game and not have drunks yelling obscenities throughout and puking all over.

Who are you directing this to ? No one in this thread (so far) has implied that the video, and the idea of not drinking at a college ball game- are anything but a positive .

I was there and it was alot of fun. The kid didn't like get up at 4:45 am to make it, but also was the one that said "let's stay til the end."

There actually is a single small bar in all of Provo called ABG's. It's a pretty nice little spot. Also BYU's football stadium set up against the mountains is really neat.

Didn't think they were allowed to eat ice cream??? Frozen custard is their go to. Andy's does quite well in the Mormon community.

I never drank in college and had a blast. I am not sure I would have made it through engineering school if I drank. It's good to see more stories like this,

And no you don’t “need” alcohol to have fun. But it sure as hell makes for some great memories.
