You don't have to break a law to be arrested... You can be held while the investigation is going on

I think he was attention whoring and trying to get views, as they claim he was streaming on facebook live, while he walked thru the store.

I was waiting for some dumb arse to try this on youtube live or facebook live.

Thankfully the guy was stopped and we didn’t see anymore loss of life. That being said, what do you charge this guy with? Not sure if Missouri is an open carry state, so you might be able to get him on weapons charges? Count how many peopl where in the store and charge with X amount of attempted homicide charges? The guy should never see the outside of a prison again, but I’m perplexed as to how the justice system accomplishes that.

what part of "keep and bear arms" do you not understand? The bear part seems to melt your brain.

Shoulda just shot him and then said he was pointing his gun at them. They would be heroes, and we wouldnt have to worry about what the legal system would charge him with.
they would be murderers, idiot. "right to keep and bear arms".

Guy walked into airport in Phoenix Az a few years ago with ar15.

Seems like open carry at that time and no law against it.

May have changed now.

The comments in this thread are pretty surprising. If he was threatening people on Facebook live, OK fine. But otherwise, are you guys just OK with them arresting him just because he had a rifle and handgun?

Is a 20 year old in possession of a pistol not illegal? I know you can't buy a pistol under 21.

The kid may not have broken any laws but he is an idiot for doing this after recent events. Good on the fireman for stopping him.

If the investigation shows the kid had no ill intent then let the kid go but he deserves to be investigated for being a dumbass

If they can conclude that his reason for his actions was just to scare people they could find something to charge him with
In most jurisdictions that would be called brandishing.

In Louisiana it might rise to the level of aggravated assault with a firearm (depending on what actually occurred).
