Clearly not a normal 14 year old though....

quote:

At 14 years old, Elijah Precciely enjoys many of the same things as most kids his age—except he is not your average teen.

“I'm trying to build an electrostatic generating socket. I don't know if that's a teenager thing, but I'm learning about it," Precciely said.

Precciely is a junior majoring in physics and chemical engineering at Southern University.

He started his college career back in 2019 as the youngest person ever to get a full-ride scholarship to the university at just 11 years old.

Full scholarship offered at the age of 11. His parents must be really proud.

I saw SU and the immediate thought was why couldn't a 14-year-old graduate from there?

I’m sure they have higher goals for PhD studies, like Nichols or SLU.

His father is a pastor and wanted to make a statement about how greatness could be achieved at a HBCU and that black and brown kids didn’t have to go far away to achieve greatness.

Good for him.

Aside: I would posit that more than 1% of the general populace at age 14 can pass college classes at Southern University.

electrostatic generating socket

Will that come on both 6 point and 12 point with 3/8" and 1/2" drives?

I never understood “skipping” a ton of grade levels. It creates socially awkward people and what in the grand scheme of things does it help the person? Traded 10 years of being around his peers and developing social skills that he can still get a phd later.

Back in the late 80’s UNO students were required to take an occasional class on SUNO’s campus in order for UNO to receive federal funding. So I headed over there three times a week one semester, along with another 70 or so UNO students. The SUNO instructor spent about 15 minutes each class, of a 50 minute class, taking roll. He said they were required to do so, and that SUNO students who missed three classes were dropped a letter grade. Had a high school vibe to that entire experience, and the class was not very difficult in comparison to all my other UNO classes.

Black folks as a whole need a class on PowerPoint. Their event flyers are always way way too busy.

Could be totally wrong, but he probably would have ended up socially awkward either way. People like this are just born smart/awkward.

Good for that young baw. I hope someone sees fit to hire him, and that he does a good job.

This invitation cannot be fixed.

Shitcanned and a brief “who, what, where, when” invitation drawn up.

No graphics, no pictures.

Or maybe commemorative T-Shirts featuring the graphic of a live oak in orange and green would suffice.

Albert Einstein was socially awkward. Do you think that having Albert be more sociable would be a good trade for him being just an ordinary smart person?
