Not saying he is lying but I can make up numbers too.

I know a lot of doctors, and I’d be shocked if only 90% were vaccinated. Every single one I know is vaccinated.

I was on the fence about the vaccination and really though I would get it when it came out, but I just never really took the time to go do it. Since March I've been to 5 sporting events with at least 30k+ in attendance, Six Flags twice, beach once when it was crowded as frick, couple kids birthday parties with petri dish bounce houses, one indoor concert with a few thousand people, one Delta Airlines flight, many bars, restaurants, grocery stores, church, etc. At this point I feel like I'm either incapable of getting Covid or have already had it and don't get symptoms from it. Either way I've cross over to complete frick it mode with respect to Covid and the vaccination.

This is pretty much my situation… my family and I are all healthy and have gone on several vacations, flights, etc since Covid started. We eat out 2-3 times a week and only wore masks when absolutely required.

I’ve probably been exposed and got Covid already and was asymptomatic so I really don’t care at this point.

I think it's more compelling that 10% of the doctors have refused it. These are intelligent people.

Why is it so low. 1 in 10 is a huge fkn number, why aren't they getting vaccinated?

You need to sell your antigens! Hope you never get it.

What's your view on spread? Anything we can do to stop or slow down the spread?

I can't imagine being forced to take an experimental medication in order to keep a job. I'd just go find something else to do.

Do masks work? If so, why 6 feet?

It’s better than 5 feet. Strictly arbitrary. Seven would be better. But you're right, it’s not scientific. It’s based on early misconceptions of droplet dispersion.

The proper mask, properly worn and changed frequently would work. Obviously we are not doing that. And obviously the ones we are wearing aren’t doing much. Yes, the vax works well. They ask vaccinated people to mask because as they are defeating the virus they could be spreading it.

quote:

If the vax works, then why are we seeing vax/and unvaxxed at the same molecular load levels?

We are not. The load levels you are referring to are in throats and nasal passages, not in the lungs. It’s still true that 97% of recent Covid hospitalizations are of the unvaccinated. That is a remarkable statistical disparity especially when you consider that almost all of the vulnerable are vaccinated. So in spite of carrying this HUGE disadvantage, the vaccinated are radically outperforming the unvaccinated.

Every Dr in my wife's group is vaccinated and out of the entire system in her hospital there are a total of 7 doctors not vaccinated out of more than 500. One of which my wife knows and he is allergic to PEG the rest she doesn't know on a personal level so she does not know their reason(s).

Thanks for sharing that- my wife is on the faculty at Tulane’s Med School.

Over 90% of them are vaccinated as well.

Sooooo- let’s see who I will take advice from…

An overwhelming majority of some of the world’s most advanced physicians and scientists?

Or

The geniuses of the OT?

I’m vaccinated.
