Build new nice things, and they get quickly trashed and full of violence and crime. Be forced to close, or it becomes an unkept shite hole because of it and people are racist for "not caring about their park."
And what doesn't help is most municipalities are very understaffed especially in departments like park and rec so getting back to a park/playground to fix issues is delayed especially if a problem takes several people to fix.

Don't build the new nice things and be labeled a racist because they don't have new nice things. People should just learn you will be unfairly labeled a racist regardless. Better to just save the money and the headache.
It’s just like the Gentrification and White Flight frickery:
Wypipo move into black neighborhoods, renovate, and start to improve the neighborhood: that’s gentrification and you’re a racist.
Wypipo move to the suburbs and away from blacks: that’s White Flight and you’re racist.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

this situation is baton rouge in a nutshell
community facility built and paid for by white people in a city-owned park in a black neighborhood, managed and administrated by black people for black people, closes because black people cant behave and the people that work there are afraid for their lives because of the abusive and dangerous bad black behavior
yeah...lets put together a task force to try and uncover the problem here

One woman, who started a petition that gathered more than 100 signatures, said she understands the safety concerns but hopes to see improvements that will bring the pool back. “I do understand the security issues. If you don’t have lifeguards, you can’t have a safe pool. So, I get that, and I look forward to them putting in place measures and policies to improve the safety here so we can reopen,” said Tebbe Jackson.

I think they were looking at adding a second fence, like a medium security detention center. Razor wire on top.

I used to be a member of Kennilworth Pool when the kids were little. Not one gun was ever brandished.
Worst thing that ever happened is a kid shite in the pool.

Real question... how do you handle an 8yr old with a gun? A 12yr old?
It is stunning the criminality that is showing up in younger and younger age groups- I don't think society has a solution for that yet.
Yes, you can remove them from their mother- but I doubt grandma or auntie is going to be much better.

I'm getting so sick of these dumb commie MFers blaming everyone except the guilty.
Uh, kindly go to Hell.

Back in '66 someone planted a bomb at the pool at Howell Park (Webb Park as well) and caused a lot of damage. Instead of repairing it, they should have gone ahead and filled it and that would have taken care of the problems they have today.
eta: Does Webb Park still have a pool?
