It's hard for me to buy in to over-encompassing blanket statements that try to classify everyone into one boat for the sake of convenience. That might be the case for some, maybe even most, of the folks that find themselves in this situation. But there are plenty of folks that experienced things like crippling medical debt that they have no control over.
Not every case is some one size fits all.

America is being destroyed by a larger and larger number of tribalistic individuals blindly picking sides and regurgitating talking points so they can root on their favorite team without having to engage in critical thinking. This isn't relegated to one side.

Well, in fairness, it’s not exactly a problem unique to “poor, trailer park/ghetto trash” either. 40% of the population isn’t “poor” despite the what the mythology on the OP says.
I’ve seem people who make $100K a year and spend $110K.
