STD actually stands for sexually transmitted disease. As you probably deduced from the name, such diseases are spread through the exchange of bodily fluids, usually during sex. You don't get them through casual social contact or lunch in the cafeteria.

Exactly. What we are supposed to learn from this? The test results were wrong and we shouldn't trust the test or should we assume this lady died of something else?
If the author and Dr wants us to believe the test are wrong then that's a whole lot worse than she died of something else.

I’m all for media covering this and keeping people updated but purposely trying to incite panic with stories like these does no one any good. It’s disgusting.
